I knew when I saw that pat of butter on your plate and the honey come out what you were going to do. My grandmother used to do the same thing before eating biscuits. Oh the memory is so raw I could cry! I miss her so much.

This is one of my favorite " My Life " series . Can just feel the beauty of summer in the many colors of green in the garden and forest. Love the harvest and the food prep and the mix of the whole show. Cant say enough good about it. I've been about to croak to fish those creeks so many thanks to Matt and the girls for finally taking us fishing . The songs of the tree frogs at night was special too. Home run on this one , folks !

I enjoy your story telling and sharing of “celebrating Appalachia”. I’ve been in Western NC for about 5 years now and just love these mountains. The way you speak about life and how your girls spent their time growing up (outside on the land) I feel a connection. While growing up on Lake Erie - that’s what we did all day too. We listened for mom to whistle, or when it began to get dark - then we’d scoot home. Thanks for sharing.
Cutting flowers and arranging them is one of the joys of summer.

When I was growing up we used to put butter in the plate and pour syrup over it and stir it up and get after it with a Biscuit 😁👍

I have always wanted a place that looks like yours I know it's a lot of hard work but by watching these videos you can see it's sure worth it I would love to be able to get outside and work .
I haven't been able to even do my flowers this year because of fracturing my back and the blown disc's.
It sure gets disheartening just being able to hobble around on cane or walker but at least I can do that.

I love the Scottish sound of the Swallowtail Jig! There’s no mistaking our heritage!
What I miss most about no longer living in the country is the songs of the birds echoing off the sky.
OMG, that breakfast will break a hillbilliie's heart. I try to like or comment on all your videos because I see the love you put into your family and it reminds me so much of my old upbringing in Ohio. We're just North folk, but folk all the same. Please keep making videos like this so we can appreciate our roots in those long chain of mountains.

Last year we whipped our plants. It helps to pollinate especially if you’re short on pollinators. Surprisingly it works!

All that delicious goodness from your garden Tipper! I miss the fresh vegetables we used to have every summer. Those bright yellow sunflowers with the gorgeous blue sky behind them was proof that our Heavenly Father is the ultimate artist and nobody can paint colors the way He does! After all, He invented all those colors! Summer in the mountains is certainly a sight to behold!

Even though I'm a New Englander l feel as though l grew up on this thru television and radio. It kind of gives you a down home feeling and shows us that America has it's own diverse culture.

Oh my this is the first time I have seen the hill side covered with so much greenery. You all have made a beautiful place to live.
Ms. Tipper, I was watching your vlogs,and I noticed your cutting board moving around,this might help you, it's what I do when I have a lot of chopping and slicing to do, It's simple. Dampen a paper towel or a dish towel place under work board and it keeps it from sliding, wobbly,etc. Just work with it and you will find a good place to start your slice,dice,chop,etc. It's a life saver for me, I'm a little on the clumsy side so it helps me , I was just thinking you might like this little kitchen helper,thank you for sharing your time with me,I feel like I have known you forever, you and your family keep me company with your vlogs and I love it,thank you ❤️ God bless ☮️

I remember having 80 tomato plants beets carrots beans yellow and green ones !!! Plus fruits raspberries strawberries blackberries to put up with cucumbers also PICKLES a lot of them !!! Also cabbage broccoli to house in the basement !!! Then the meats in end of November to cut and freeze and can with chicken also !!!
After hearing you saying about whipping some plants there’s an old saying down our way which brings a smile to my face and it goes ( a woman a dog and a walnut tree the more you whip um the better they be) love your channel

Your veggies are so pretty. Great harvest. We got a spattering of rain yesterday after 66 days none. Officially 67 days because no trace at the airport!! I thank God for the little we got!! My youngest daughter played the violin till her hand got messed up, surgery only made it worse!! This was a wonderful video!!

We are finally getting some much needed rain in the Salt Lake Valley, hallelujah!! My garden is actually starting to take off a bit. I've got butternut, spaghetti and yellow squash growing. And I've got another crop of raspberries that should be ready in a few weeks. Such a joy to be able to grow your own food. 😇

Plus on my vacations I took the pressure caner with us to can up some good Pike for fish then it would be like salmon then bones and all I would can!!! Did sewing on the nights the caner was going for clothes for the children !!! Had a PANTRY that was always full of beautiful things to eat !!! Peaches and Pears also for us to eat with apples canned or just waiting to be eaten !!!

We mix butter and syrup together. My daddy always said my youngest daughters hair was the color of syrup mixed with butter😊 it was. I have gravy in fridge right now I made ahead to have with biscuits. So good. I'm gonna have biscuits with honey and butter for dessert.😋
