I remember when I first started watching your videos, about 6 years ago, you were feeding them a lot of peanut butter sandwiches, so I started eating peanut butter sandwiches...now they eat a lot of hotdogs, so I eat hotdogs...
Sometimes I wonder if the experienced diners tell the new ones what the rules are when they're in the woods before dinner. No fighting, don't beg too much, don't bite his shoes, no pooping and peeing, be polite, no yelling, don't climb on him too much, one at a time, take your turn, no stealing, etc. Seriously, they just seem so tame and docile minus the occassional growls at eachother. Plus, its just so funny how they all accept the food very politely and don't give Jim a hard time. They are just such adorable creatures. I have a real soft spot for Woody. I keep hoping one night he waddles up close to Jim and takes the hot dog 🙏🐺🤗

I watch also before bed. He does a fantastic job with these wild animals, they truly love him. God Bless him for his wonderful work he does for these lucky raccoons .

I’m liking Woody more everyday. Those new babies will be climbing into your lap by next week. My Walmart has a cart full of markdown bread and bakery items. You should check your Walmart for them. You’re such a kind soul to do so much for these furry little critters.
Banana bags are also good so they get some fruit. Mine eat em with sandwiches and other left overs, some of the younger ones will step over peanut butter for bananas. Usually they are marked down this way too. Wal mart may not but other grocers might. I give mine rice Krispy treats occasionally too. Can't make em too fat

@@PapayaStyle I didnt read that I reckon. I heard the banana bread. They like sweets like toddlers too. I pit out almost an entire banana bag last night and 13 pb sandwiches and there was nothing left by morning. My trail cam shows I get an occasional fox for PB and the coyote has only been seen in the winter at the feeding spot. The opossum couldn't eat all 17 bananas. Lol. I mean she is big and all but not that big. I have also seen them eat the bananas. I don't put out as much food as James does, and the other night when it rained harder I just put out bananas for a few hours, so maybe kine have learned to like them. The over ripe bagged ones smell sweeter so that may be it too. I know the rehabber here was surprised about them eating those when I spoke to them last summer

@Foo Fighter I have to lean over to grab the food and my go pro would move too much. I tried that. I have one if those red hunter flashlights so it doesn't hurt their eyes and I can see them. If I could get a little better lighting and a stand it would be possible. I had some that would come raise up and beg when I first got out there. I think they got run over because none do that anymore except 1.
I love it when you feed the racoons grapes they are so cute tilting their heads back for the juice. Jim you are such a caring person taking care of all the animals, and your cats are beautiful, I have 4 cats and am taking care of my son's 2 cats right now ♥️
There s a racoon Ball in the forest tonight.So every responsible racoon parent thought " what better and safest babysitter than James?" So they brought their young over to the safest kindergarten there is!

Mary Cole you should take the time sometime to visit where he lives it’s so beautiful and peaceful. I visited NS Canada when I was 18 and it was so amazing. I would love to go back again sometime. The northeast US is really beautiful and air is cool in crisp in the evening starting in late August.

I got brave one night and instead of hastily putting plates out and running inside , I stayed out there and softly talked to them. The Babies acted like what I was saying was the most important thing in the world ! They're so attentive and well behaved and sweet , the adults too! They really love when I cut up watermelon for them . The other night I made them scrambled eggs with cheese and toast and carrot cake for dessert. They loved it ! ❤
