Russ joining this podcast would be fire js. The people have infinite questions about BOTH of y’all’s career paths and overall individual journeys in the league. That’s a duo off court the NBA world needs too.
PG went thru the same thing in 2020-2021, "group of people that want you to do bad" so he understands how Russ must be feeling
I hyperextended my knee in a very similar way. Came back too soon and hurt my Achilles as well as fracturing my foot. Despite rehab and physio, I went from being able to dunk to not being able to touch rim. Playing an extra game isn't worth the future sacrifices

As a LA native and lakers fan, I give y’all 3 more years to get it right. I don’t doubt you guys mindset and you guys actually look good on the court. I’ve been to a few games this year, y’all cool y’all just not my favs. Russ my ex fav guard so as long as y’all play good and got him I ain’t got nothing bad to say about y’all.
Playing through injuries is something too many analysts trip on. Questioning how hurt a professional athlete is when they sit out is such an insult. Athletes play through serious injuries even in high school. One of the hardest things to learn as an athlete is to recognize injuries you can't ignore/that will exacerbate. Im sure most of you knew people in school that needed surgeries because of their sport, and they still came back to play; and they dont even get paid! Things like this are why i generally prefer to listen to podcasts of former athletes..
Storming Norman is legit and he's a baller! For the team it's best if we sign and trade him and use Bones & T Mann as our 6th man.
I hope Russ only goes on PGs and Pat Bevs podcast. Only former teammates who saw his work ethic behind the scenes. I hope PG gets Kawhi on too and Danny Granger.

Everybody been talking about “if healthy” for the past 4 years. Big contracts were issued , age is a factor and nobody can stay healthy. We can’t trade anyone , can’t draft anyone and in 4 years can’t stay on the court together. It’s unfortunate because everybody in the west is getting better and we are sliding back. In a perfect world KL retired and we traded PG/Morris for some youth. Just keeping it real.
The thing is, if PG/Kawhi did play through injury for 10 min and they get hurt, they would immediately play Devil's Advocate and say "he shouldn't have played injured, they didn't need to rush him back", etc

Clippers need some youth and they need it badly. Can’t keep having all these older guys, it didn’t work for the Lakers last season and it will not work next season when all these players are in their mid 30s, get younger legs around Kawhi and PG. the power forward position is glaring and needs some youth and the point guard position could use someone like Tyus Jones or in that mold.
