The point is that it would've stood out in Eurovision. Michael is a great singer, but his version doesn't stand out as different from any other Eurovision soul ballad in the last 10 years. If people want a soul ballad to win this year they'll vote Sweden If we're talking mainstream pop though then yeah, neither of them are unique
Mine as well hopefully she can do at least as well as what Lucie Jones did when she decided to give Eurovision a crack. As it looks like she's following in Lucie's footsteps in going from X factor to Eurovision and Lucie didn't do too badly finishing in mid table.

As a country music fan, I would love to see this at Eurovision. The girl has a beautiful voice and with a simple staging it might have a wider appeal even with the people who are not really in this genre... plus hopefully it might find support from the "professional"and international jury

Earworm song for sure, Best version of the song, her voice Sounds like Jojo blended with Vanessa Hudgens two of my favioute artist the backing has like a pop-country music vibe such a Epic version! this song is 100x defo better than Space man from Sam Ryder from 2022, just needed more promo on Eurovision back in 2019, sounds like a big hit to me, by the way Holly and Michael Rice is so great.

I actually prefer this over the soul version. There are to many soul songs in the contest. This one stands out.
