So creative, such an original take, sweet but also with a little snarky to relieve a saccharine overload and seem realistic. Great cast, great songs music and lyrics-wise, and terrific choreography. Love it so much.
Finally, Apple let me comment on this video. This movie is a masterpiece. Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are amazing together. The way it made fun of a Christmas Carol was done in a fun way that had me laughing the whole time. The fact that they made the afterlife a musical makes people randomly singing whole choreographed songs out of nowhere makes sense. I hate it when musicals just have songs come out of nowhere with no explanation, but this movie made it make sense! All of the songs slapped, too. Every flashback was exceptional and Clint pointing out things instead of going along with it like Scrooge does in A Christmas Carol is so funny and Ryan Reynolds was the perfect actor for it. The fact that he died at the end was unexpected and it was hilarious when he became Christmas Present and revamped the whole place with only energy that Ryan Reynolds could. Present got his happy ending and the reprise was amazing. Overall a 9/10 movie that everyone should see. Apple, if you are somehow reading this, please put this movie on 4K UHD Blu-Ray so I can own it. Many, many people will buy it, I'm sure. If you do, I'm sure it will become a classic Christmas movie in a few decades! I will be watching this movie ever year until I join the afterlife!
Man, this would have been like the greatest movie I have ever seen if they actually committed to it being a musical. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul have made some of my favorite musical numbers of all time, and they went FULL OUT on every song in this movie. There are so many times when I’m getting into the music and choreography and feeling really enthralled in the moment AAAAAAAAANNDD the song gets interrupted by a character making a joke. And there are so many long stretches of film where they don’t sing at all. Movies like this make me so mad because it was SO CLOSE TO BEING A MASTERPIECE. But what we have is still good. But man, I would like to see what would happen if Pasek and Paul were allowed to let their full creative vision fly.
Right, I once saw a criticism that they always took a moment to be sarcastic about the concept of musicals, which would probably include interrupting songs for other jokes as well… maybe it would’ve been way better if they weren’t like that!
0:47 These six seconds of melody are taken from the song Giants In The Sky from Into The Woods, and SPIRITED is too savvy, self-aware, detail-oriented, and reference-heavy for it to be a coincidence. But regardless, SPIRITED overall is an inspired and entertaining movie.
It's a very by-the-numbers sort of musical, although a well-produced version which clearly had a lot of time and money put into it. Still, a lot of it comes off as typical Broadway fare. Few of the songs really stand out in one's memory. Try the Muppet Christmas Carol for something with memorable songs.
I love this scene, the dancing is incredible and the music is great too. I just hate that the interns are there interrupting the song and dragging the film down with horrible unrelated meta jokes.
This movie is genuinely a masterpiece

SAME!
Such a good song and a movie!! Broadway at some point!!!
This movie and soundtrack was great. Hope they continue to make more Christmas movies like this that anyone can watch. Not just AppleTV users.
This song is fire for no reason I randomly broke into it in the middle of August lol
I love this movie! I think if more people had Apple TV it would be much more popular.
That music give me goosebumps 😍

The album slaps though! 😊

It mostly felt like a runtime issue considering the cut song. Being a musical and a movie took away from both in a way
Loved this movie. My feet were dancing
As someone who HATES musicals, this is a pure masterpiece of having a movie with the right amount of musical numbers!
Anyone else wish the official soundtrack included the tap dancing sounds in it like in the movie?
This movie is obsoletely underrated
This movie has become me and my wife’s new Christmas tradition
This is amazing

This song is fantastic, just wish they didn't interrupt it with unfunny jokes
Where is the Broadway musical version already?

Great songs, meh movie. The musical parts were very enjoyable, the plot decisions were questionable. 6/10, could be worse.
