Her explanation and example is so simple. I was having trouble with this all week, and I just started understanding this, the day before my first college exam! Just started college 3 weeks ago and have a chem exam tomorrow. Wish me luck!
You had the best video that explained exactly what I needed to learn. All the other video goes over the very basic information, and i'm only half way through the video!
You are my new chemistry teacher. Thank you so much for being clear on the topics, my chem teacher confuses all of us until I'm stuck studying the textbook all day. Thanks!
Yeah, but at least she keeps up with her thoughts accurately. Can you imagine if she was slow and constantly could not remember what she would say about 5 seconds or so later?
I was having a bit of trouble with the basics which was really setting me back and causing me to make crucial mistakes when doing more advanced calculations. I am really thankful to have this video to review with. :)
I wish public schools started with math and science from the very beginning focusing about 80% of the time. Rather than wasting out time drawing and coloring. It isn't until later that we realize how important the material is.
i've been looking all day this class on my lengague and didn't find it, i knew the humanity's common tongue would have the answer thank you teacher excellent class! ready for tomorrow's exam (:
You seem like a really great teacher! I really love that you plainly related it to things that were much simpler first giving lots of examples of the same thing in different ways, and then eased us into what we actually needed to do slowly. I don't really think that you talk too fast, but I was also using good speakers while watching this video. Great video lesson!
the equation that shown on the board C3H8 + 5O2 - > 3CO2 + 2H2O, is that balanced one ? a total of Oxygen should be 10 at either side but here it is only 8 on the right hand side . if it is 4H2O instead of 2H2O then the equation will be balanced.
thanks so much! my science teacher sucks and has been teaching this to us for weeks. i haven't been able to understand it but in 7 minutes i learned it.
My teacher is the worst teacher I've ever had in my life and you just saved me. I now atleast have a general idea of how to do this!! This shit is hard though!!
Thank you so much for this video! You're such a great teacher... Ive been struggling with chemistry all semester and having a difficulty understanding stochiometry for some extra credit was a big worry/stress for me. I can't wait to watch the other videos and finally understand what the heck my professor is talking about! (:
+Yajaira Duenes Thanks for watching! Enjoy all videos on our youtube channel or on our mobile app. You can see all 21 subject apps here - bit.ly/1OswH1y. They're all FREE with no sign up required. Happy learning!
My parents pay $40,000 a year to send me to a prep school and this was a better lesson than i could have learned from a week of tutoring from my teacher
I could have taken any other science. But I thought " hey Chem might be an interesting experience". Now curl up into a ball and cry every night while my Chem book laughs at me.
C3H8 is propane, not butane. Butane is C2H6. Also it's not balanced. It's 4 H2O. Propane is a more efficient fuel than Butane. It requires less quantities, burns with less oxygen and produces less carbon dioxide. The equation for butane combustion is: 2 C2H6 + 7 O2 -> 4 CO2 + 6 H2O
I love your video. Try to speak slower so viewers don't feel uncomfortable when you make mistakes. and let people understand the material in a slower pace. I know that there is the pause button, but it is a lot of work to pause and try to understand it at the same time.
its not as complicated as you think i got a tutor to explain it all out for me and if you are struggling with chemistry i recommend you get a tutor its better to learn alone then in a class well thats my opinion
In the equation on the right side of the board, should it instead be 4 H2O and not 2 H2O in terms of balancing? Someone may have already caught this; I'm not sure...
i have a question when its from the mole to mass at 5:00 she said she got the 18grams of water from 1 mole of water by looking at the periodic table of elements...how?
2:14
It's not butane, it's propane.
I learned more from this than i did in the 2 hours of my chem class
and this was free...
I'm in college taking chemistry and i have the worst professor and this almost made me cry because i finally understand it!
+Aziah Duhon same!
i feel sorry for you because everything she is saying is wrong
I don't think I'll ever understand stoichiometry....
Same here
it takes practice... a lot of it
Didn't think it was too fast, but it was a lot more helpful than the 15 minutes we spent on it in class. Cheers

Brightstorm, thank you so much for helping with chemistry. Watching these videos while reviewing for a test has helped a tremendous amount. THANK YOU.
You had the best video that explained exactly what I needed to learn. All the other video goes over the very basic information, and i'm only half way through the video!
This video is so amazingly simple and just what I needed! Normal english and just the right speed for learning. Thank you so much!!!
You are my new chemistry teacher. Thank you so much for being clear on the topics, my chem teacher confuses all of us until I'm stuck studying the textbook all day. Thanks!
For the first time i m understanding these problem .....loved ur explanation .....now my tomorrows exam's gonna b gr8 yippie....
*Can anyone recommend essays writing service?*
she talks too fast and then trips over own words, its an odd phenomenon, nevertheless, she is still better then my garbage chem teacher.
Yeah, but at least she keeps up with her thoughts accurately. Can you imagine if she was slow and constantly could not remember what she would say about 5 seconds or so later?
shout out to the students that have garbage chem teachers.
Just change the speed of the video...
still a good teacher straight to the point.
Best, most straight forward presentation I have seen. Thank you. You made my day.
God bless you.
Your the best teacher ever!!! i love how you talk fast, it makes me concentrate more!
You are a great teacher. Thanks for all the help and I have realized it all comes down to practice, practice, and more practice. PEACE
Honestly this video helped me SSSOOOO much. i have a final tomorrow and i finally understand it. THANK YOU
I was having a bit of trouble with the basics which was really setting me back and causing me to make crucial mistakes when doing more advanced calculations. I am really thankful to have this video to review with. :)
I wish public schools started with math and science from the very beginning focusing about 80% of the time. Rather than wasting out time drawing and coloring. It isn't until later that we realize how important the material is.
Balanced or not, the way to do the calculations was clear to me after I followed along. Thanks very much for your effort!
I am 12 years old, and I am here to learn stoichiometry and I understand it because of you! Thanks (:
i've been looking all day this class on my lengague and didn't find it, i knew the humanity's common tongue would have the answer thank you teacher excellent class! ready for tomorrow's exam (:
U explain these so much better then my chem teacher! Thank u!

HERE FOR LAST MINUTE CRAMMING FOR THE FINALS
You just saved me from failing my exams. This topic makes more sense to me now. Thank you so much :D
I love this teacher so much. Thank you! You do a much better job than my teacher
this is great for recalling my college chemistry lessons.
Thanks a mole.
The chemical equation is not balanced. It should be C3H8 + 5O2 > 3CO2 + 4H2O
this helped me finish my chem exam study guide... thank you
THANK YOU SO MUCH! this video seriously helped a ton. keep on making videos please
Great stuff! Easy to follow along. Wish my professor would explain things like this.
the equation that shown on the board C3H8 + 5O2 - > 3CO2 + 2H2O, is that balanced one ? a total of Oxygen should be 10 at either side but here it is only 8 on the right hand side . if it is 4H2O instead of 2H2O then the equation will be balanced.
FINAL IN 6 HOURS HERE WE GO
wow! you made this very clear. thank you for making this seem so easy
@RobertoEmilioRomero Although not as execrable, she called C3H8 butane, when it is in fact propane. Nervousness?
Best chem help ever :]
Rewatching (even though I took chem last year) just to refresh. Still makes a lot of sense.
Truly smexy and very helpful. I like the energy and this vid explained it well for me.
Thank You
Thank you so much !! I was so lost in class, but you made it all so easy now :)
These videos: awesome for the night before chemistry exam cramming session.
thanks so much! my science teacher sucks and has been teaching this to us for weeks. i haven't been able to understand it but in 7 minutes i learned it.
you make my chem life so much easier .. thank god for you
Good
You go, girl! Good job Brightstorm.
@inscizor you are right, there is more oxygen in one side that in the other (10left 8 right)
This video is a life saver!!!
The correct balanced equation is: C3H8 + 5O2 ---> 3CO2 + 4H2O. Your error was having the wrong coefficient for the H2O. You had 2, it should be 4.
My teacher is the worst teacher I've ever had in my life and you just saved me. I now atleast have a general idea of how to do this!! This shit is hard though!!
She helps more than my teacher. Thanks so much!!(:
Thx a lot. What city are you in?

Thank you soooo much! You are a great teacher! I would pay anything to be taught Chemistry by you
Thanks so much. Cleared everything up for me
Thanks alot it helped me know what is stoichiometry now i think i can pass my examinations tomorrow .
thank you I finally understand this
you're welcome. we're glad we could help.
Although chemistry was one of my favorite subjects I hated this so much in high school AP chem but it makes so much more sense now in college!
Thank you!!! Your videos will make me pass my exam. Kudos! :)
GOD BLESS YOU .......LOVE CHEMISTRY LOVE THE WAY YOU TEACH
You're right. people do make mistakes.
This is still a great channel!
Should the reaction at 2:07 have 4H20 instead of 2H20?
+John Award I know, she is wrong!
My parents pay $40,000 a year to send me to a prep school and this was a better lesson than i could have learned from a week of tutoring from my teacher
2:07 C3H8 is propane..not butane,
Thanks anyways. You helped me a lot.
Divyanshu N. Singh I picked that up too
I could have taken any other science. But I thought " hey Chem might be an interesting experience". Now curl up into a ball and cry every night while my Chem book laughs at me.

dimensional analysis, my nemesis -_- ....
C3H8 is Propane, not Butane!
So helpful! Thank you very much for posting!
Thank You!!!! You saved my butt on my final can't thank you enough for that!
really awsome and easily to understand! Appreciated!
thanqq so much brightstorm...you really made me know how to do this....!!!!
LOL..please drink some water!

yall say u will never understand stoichiometry but the first time i studied the lesson it was online and i donr think i will actually understand it
Thankyou for helping me pass my exams :)
Very clear explanation. Thankyou. :)
Great studying material. Thanks so much for the help!
i wish you used another or had the camera closer i cant make out whats in the blue
its not as complicated as you think i got a tutor to explain it all out for me and if you are struggling with chemistry i recommend you get a tutor its better to learn alone then in a class well thats my opinion
i think i understand this, thank you teacher lady
I counted how many times I had to rewind the video to finally understand. It was over 9000!
Your trick is amazing 👍👍💯💯
She is solving them differently to how I am taught how to do them. Still handy when I need to find grams really fast.
small correction. in this video, teacher told C3H8 is butane. But it is propane.
the video is good.
Thank you soooo much. After a 25% on a quiz I knew something had to give!
10x more useful than my teacher!!!!!
I LOVE THIS
Maybe I'll pass my test tomorrow! :D
In the equation on the right side of the board, should it instead be 4 H2O and not 2 H2O in terms of balancing? Someone may have already caught this; I'm not sure...
2:17 propane not butane
you ma'am, have saved another life.
i have a question when its from the mole to mass at 5:00 she said she got the 18grams of water from 1 mole of water by looking at the periodic table of elements...how?
u saved me , you are the best
2:07 Sorry, but isn't C3H8 = Propane rather than Butane?
yeah... agree it's propane
These people have a masters in what they teach im pretty sure they know what their talking about
Wow! Thank you!
Saved my life !!
where did she get 3molO2 from??
Thank you for making it easy to understand.:)
OMG THIS, CURRENTLY FEELING THIS FOR TUESDAY!
Thank you so much! Now this finally makes sense.
can someone explain to me how to build that ratio table, coz i get confused when she does the second and third table-thanks
