- Wah Filter Pedal Shootout!! 2 of my favorites each has its strong points and very specific things it is great at. Source Audio Soundblox Pro Poly-Mod Filter VS BOSS AW-3 Dynamic Wah! Definitely a way more expensive digital wah filter option the source audio Pro poly mod filter has great EQ, expression options including hot hand, LFO as well as envelope filter and can store your 6 favorite presets. I barely touch the surface of what this pedal can do here, i am trying to keep videos shorter. The BOSS AW-3 has 5 modes including tap tempo, Humanizer (vowel 1 and vowel 2), sharp, down and up. for $50 used it is a great auto wah pedal and plugged into an expression pedal is a very cool (not ear piercing) traditional wah sound. Honestly i have the source audio expression pedal (dual) and ive used it more with the AW-3 but plan on really digging in and programming the 13 different ways the Pro poly Mod Filter can be expressed. You will be seeing both these pedals again in future videos. These are both digital wah filter pedals. We will see how they are different from a great analog wah filter in the next wah filter video.
