Looks good, should work just fine. For future reference you should have tucked the sheet metal extensions under the existing longer sheet metal pieces, just like shingles on a roof. Also they make a specific screw that has a rubber washer on so you don't have a leak at each screw.
Yep I actually went out yesterday and rearranged the tin like you said, I didn’t even think about it when initially doing it. I’m not too worried about the leaks from the screws, the wood surface is going to get a little wet in the rain regardless and it’ll dry.
Nice job. Was just wondering if you may want to fasten the additional roofing under the existing like flashing to prevent water from migrating under/between the metal roof.
Yep this is something I overlooked and will be fixing!!
It looks like the extension pieces dont go under the original roof panels. As the water runs down towards the back its going to leak.
You’re right I will be fixing it! Thanks!
@@DudeRanchDIY good luck with the stand man. Hope it works out for you guys!
Good job with Sara’s Approval!😂 nice Teamwork guys🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Gotta have the boss’ approval!
Sara is all business .... show me the money
She doesn’t mess around, hopefully I will in a future video!
looks good bud, hope its a success, do you think there's gonna be an issue with people parking there to get the wood, looked like a blind hill there and seemed like traffic moves at a good speed there. if someone has an accident would you be responsible ? watch all your videos !!
We have a very large driveway for people to park in and even turn around. no hill really on the road but I’m hoping people have enough common sense to pull into the driveway. Not sure if I’d be responsible, I’m not the one parking the car in the middle of the road so I hope not haha
Good job. Hopefully you will make a lot of cash, plus give the area another option for buying firewood.
That would be nice, really just doing it for fun!
Looks great jake.now the test for the sales .hope the need for wood is greater than the need for greed. Most are honest and hope they all are. 👍have a great holiday weekend. 🇺🇲
I hope so too, time will tell!
Great job!!! Now Sarah can make money!!! Have a Safe Day
Hopefully! Thanks for watching!
stand looks great! The solar lights were a great idea!
Thanks Elliot!
Good luck! Hope it's successful
Thank you!
Like it you'll sell a lot on main road
We do sell a lot!
Stand looks great. .
You mentioned 1 cubic Ft.
Are you selling 1 cubic Ft or 1-1/3 cubic Ft?
12"x 12" x 16" is 1-1/3 cubic Ft.
Yeah I guess it’s larger than 1 cubic foot, you’re right!
Nice work!!! Your a wood butcher like me!!!! As you know, you are very cheap for your area…..I say you have already raised the price……so good to see Sarah and Louie……let’s set a date for the cape.
Haha sure am! Yeah I wanted to start out cheaper and can always raise the price! We’re going end of august!
Tin over tin? Under works much better when it rains. Clearly Sara wasn't around when you did this.
Lol she was not! I fixed the tin the following day with proper overlap 👍🏼
Still the wrong screws. You don't want the drill bit tipped screws. Just get the screws with the washer and rubber grommet used for sheet metal roofs at least an inch and a half long. You also need to put your rear extensions UNDER the uphill panels, not over so the water runs off the end, not under the extensions.
I went back and fixed the panel orientation, yeah people told me about the screws with the gasket, so far no water has been leaking I’ve gone out while raining to check.
Yep won't go anywhere but it will leak... they sell screws for fastening tin with rubber washers...
Yeah a few have mentioned this, the wood surface is going to get a little wet regardless in the rain, but it’ll dry again. It gets wet in my totes that are covered as well.
Sarah did a nice 👍 job touching up with the artwork, you said it took 1/3 cord, if I added it up right that comes out to 110.00 , I don't know how the prices are in your area but in my area in Ohio that is a little bit on the light side, a 1/3 cord is 110.00 to140.00 in bulk, just a little info on my area but it looks great.
Thanks Larry! I normally sell 1/3 cord for $125 delivered accounting $15 for delivery. I decided to start with the prices a bit on the lighter side to see how sales do and I can always raise them from there!
The finished product looks great !!!... Im sure your gunna do fine .. just throw a couple local adds out letting the locals know where to find it and keep it full!!! Great job
Thanks! Not a bad idea!
Good job Sarah and Jake! Can you mail some wood to upstate NY?
I’d love to! You pay shipping 😂
Looks great guys, nice work!
Thanks guys!
Were those gasket screws that you used on the sheet metal?
They were not, I’m not terribly worried about it. The surface of the wood is going to get a bit wet in the rain regardless and will dry.
Great job ,
If you give people options they might very well spend more money.
I see an opportunity for two more wood stands.
One
For premier hardwoods at a higher price point
And another stand for larger amounts of wood , offering the same mixed varieties at a more economical
Price point.
Thank you Jean, I have a sign on the stand that states larger quantities and different species are available with contact information! I do plan on adding some different products hopefully in the near future!
@@DudeRanchDIY you are welcome.
Sorry, I did not see the other price points in the video.
Sometimes I get too many extra minutes to arm chair quarter back
,
You have a good head for this, it's very apparent.
I should take up knitting or something
:)
Haha no problem! I didn’t really show the little sign except for a few seconds a bunch of videos back. I appreciate your support.
