Yes, I regret not having had someone with experience to take me through this amazing part of Tokyo. So my impressions are my own - apparently not accurate according to comments. C'est la vie - next time maybe a different strategy.
Not even close. Much of business in Pattaya, Thailand is for tourists. But, Kabuki-cho's main business is for business people as you can see in this video. The area is consists of good restaurants and bars but it is not a red light district.

I did a Google search using the phrase "to live in shubuya or shinjuku" The first link leads to Trip Advisor. There are many answers, among them: ----------------------- I think both Shibuya and Shinjuku are great places to hang out in. Shibuya probably a bit more happening, but that's not to take away from Shinjuku. I'm often wandering around Shinjuku late at night, either having a drink or late night ramen, or shopping in the few spots that are open late at night.Honestly? Roppongi wouldn't be my first pick to stay in.---------------------So check out all the links to get a better idea. To live in either place would also require some research as to the price of accommodations. I would think both areas would be quite expensive.Hope this helps. Good luck. But why you DON'T try any of these store. The GAMESHOP, Bar place, SMALL RESTAURANT, even GIRLS Cafe All of these are funny and they 're wellcom with single person coming.

When you tour Shinjuku, go with a friend. A very entertaining and fun place to spend a few hours or days!
