I am in Australia and this is the most straight forward how to measure your windows for curtains I have found. Loved the extra tip of the graphic showing the measurement above or below your rod, depending on curtain style. A+! for effort here.
Not a lot of experience in that department myself, but I'm needing to have some curtains shortened for the window in my living room and this video answered some questions I had.
You didn't cover the LEAST obvious measurement....curtain width -.- I mean you addressed WINDOW width but curtains scrunch up....and it is NOT obvious if those scrunchies are taken into consideration when curtain width measurements are provided....
Glad I see your comment before watching this video, I came to see how to measure curtain width and length, clearly this video doesn't provide that, so thank you for your comment and saving my time 🥰
My tip is to make a curtain trough for the bottom of the curtain, especially if there's a radiator sited at the widow. A simple L profile of two lengths of wood to form a trough with the wall acting as one of the sides, the trough just above the radiator. When closed, the curtain bottom is tucked into the trough and heated air comes out into the room under the trough rather than going into the window void behind the curtain.
Useless video. Anyone can measure the width of a window. What people want to know is how do you estimate the width of curtains you need for a window so that there is enough material to give generous pleats when closed, ie what is the ratio needed to achieve this, especially if it is a wide window and not some narrow little one like inthis video. Totally pointless video IMO.

When looking at curtains and you are given measurements eg 72". Is that each panel or is it measurements to cover a window that measures 72" width
Very helpful
Please I need Curtin cutting idea singl width n dubble width
Still too hard to understand I can’t get any curtain that go by my measurement
Yeah measure them and then go to every single shop and realise they don’t make curtains in your size so just get some that “will do”…
what if you don't have a tape measure? isn't there some life hack for this?
This woman is amazingly beautiful.
What a beautiful comment. She also has a beautiful voice.
You're disgusting
Take a look at this handy measuring guide for curtains on a flat window - th-cam.com/video/-_oYPvsdMlE/w-d-xo.html 🙂
OMG - maybe she only did the window width (not curtain width) to frustrate us further and ring them?????
She is the most British person I've ever seen. 😁
"Centimeters" Lmao
WTF IS A KILOMETER 🦅🦅🦅
This is the average person in BurgerNation™
She missed the most obvious measurements. 🤣

😒 Not helpful. People measure in INCHES and not CENTIMETERS.
