Marc Elzen - VRL Performance no specific follow up video but the brands hatch video immediately after this one has it in use. The silver car in the video also has the kit. Yep definite reduction in roll but primarily due to the spring rates being unchanged. It did make the tail end a little happy so a stiffer rear ARB was required.
It certainly should do. I recall this was designed for cars which have a similar drop to cooksport springs but do be aware these kits tend to make the rear end very lively in the wet so I wouldn't recommend for a road car.
The Anti-Roll bar I’ve got was part of a limited run with 5 or 7 adjustment points (I forget). It was sold by balance motorsport a number of years ago.It makes a noticeable difference and stiffens up the rear end considerably.
TrackIt for last, i have the Option of taking the 19mm or 22mm. It’s a 1.6 16v non-RS clio, since we don’t have them in Brazil. What would you recommend? Thanks
By lowering the car you haven’t moved the weight further down in the shell so the CG stays the same. The point in the car which the weight acts from in relation to the roll centre is unchanged. Hope that helps :)
It's Dutch but here you can see that the original part numbers are the same. So I think it will fit..... www.autopartsonline.nl/p/renault/clio/clio-ii-bb012_-cb012_/2-0-16v-sport-19813/fuseekogel-220230
On a 2nd Gen gs300 there's 15mm 22mm 30mm thick vertical plate that goes between the balljoint and knuckle to correct roll center after lowering the car.
Hi dude! I'd like tocknow where did you buy this bump steer and roll center kit? Was it at acs motorsport? Do they still exist? I'd very much like to purchase one for my 306! But it's bee proving veru difficult to find anyone that still makes it! Would love to chat a bit! Much love from Portugal
Bit soft for my driving style but I’m aiming for absolute perfection. They’ve served me very well for over 2 years and are actually made by KW. With that said I’m changing to ASTs this weekend!
I fitted these a while ago but from what I remember they reduced the slack feel in the front end. For me it was just another mod to increase steering precision. I would say it’s a track car modification and wouldn’t be good on a road car due to the solid nature of the mounts and poor corrosion protection on the parts.
Thanks! No it doesn’t because the hub remains in the same space, it’s only the wishbone and track rod which are lowered back into their position. The wishbone is lowered a touch closer to the road but very little.
Thanks Steve, you don’t! It takes far too many late nights 💤 really enjoyed the tyre softener vid, particular the ARB drilling tip, had never seen that done before.
@@TrackItYT niceone Im looking into how to buy one. Im gonna message them on fb. How much are the kits normally mate? Love the clio content...... Keep it coming 😊
Hi Leonardo, I haven’t really driven the car much since fitting it but signs are it makes the front end much more precise when cornering. The back end has been a bit light and twitchy but the car needs to have a full geometry set up as my rear beam is quite off!
I’m not here to battle dude, just to share a bit of joy about cars and hopefully be educational along the way so thank you. It hugely improved turn in and restores it to unlowered factory feel. A little too much oversteer in the wet for me so I run standard bottom ball joints with a larger rear ARB now.
@@TrackItYT Oversteer in the wet. a blade rear anti roll bar would allow you to soften the rear end . what roll axis are you running . I'm sorry but if there is anything that watching Swiss hillclimb racing has taught me, is that there is no technology on this entire planet that will prevent a Renault Clio from hitting the wall. They must be magnetic or some shit.

Richard Wallinger what a strange, naive and unjustified comment. This has been designed by qualified motorsport engineers from world leading automotive engineering universities, been computer modelled to ensure stress remains transmitted in the correct plane and assembled with aerospace grade metals. I assure you these kits are not anything you’ve described and run in many different race series, on the Nurburgring and at some of the worlds harshest tracks.

Did I miss it or was there never a video following up on the difference with or without kit to see the difference on body roll?

Cheers matey! Glad it was useful. The weather was a bit different then to the heat now!
Would this rid my 172 of bump steer? It's on cooksport springs and te tracking is spot on... No wear on any suspension components.. Tanks
It certainly should do. I recall this was designed for cars which have a similar drop to cooksport springs but do be aware these kits tend to make the rear end very lively in the wet so I wouldn't recommend for a road car.
Direct link to where i can buy this please??
Hi, I don't think ACS are making them at the moment but they do occasionally come up on cliosport.net and Facebook: ClioSport Owners Club
Also, what do you think about the pure Motorsport/whiteline rear antiroll bar?
The Anti-Roll bar I’ve got was part of a limited run with 5 or 7 adjustment points (I forget). It was sold by balance motorsport a number of years ago.It makes a noticeable difference and stiffens up the rear end considerably.

I have never tried the PMS rear roll bar but 19mm should be better for a road car and 22mm for a stiffer track car :)
So this adds a tad bit more camber?
A smidge due to the ball joint being mildly extended over standard. Perfect for a track car.
Great explanation man!
But why is CG not also lower on a lowered car?
By lowering the car you haven’t moved the weight further down in the shell so the CG stays the same. The point in the car which the weight acts from in relation to the roll centre is unchanged. Hope that helps :)
Hi, will this rollcentre correction kit fit a Clio williams?
Honestly I’m not sure but I know it does fit a mk1 with 172 front running gear. Best to contact Ant at ACS. His details are in the video description.
TrackIt thanks, i will contact Anthony...

But that adjustable tie rods end is not available for every car.
Indeed they aren’t but other similar solutions are available. These parts are custom machined for the Clio.
On a 2nd Gen gs300 there's 15mm 22mm 30mm thick vertical plate that goes between the balljoint and knuckle to correct roll center after lowering the car.

Yeah it was ACS but they don’t exist anymore. There is a firm called pro-am racing which make them but only for the mk2 clio.
How do you find the AP coilovers bud?

Thanks Alex, not with this kit. The Laguna hubs were used only on the factory cup racer variants but this kit is designed to work with standard hubs.

Richard Wallinger technology has moved on a long way since then and modem modelling proves your intentionally inflammatory points are wrong 😂
