You can count on Britain to make a good quiz game show. Found this recently, and I am enjoying it. Not all the participants are great, but there are a quite a few that make really good, educated guesses, and it shows the quality of education and knowledge that exists outside the US.
This show reminds me of the original Jeopardy! (with Art Fleming and Don Pardo) in which the point was the fun of the game and not the piddling amount of money that was at stake.
Lol Fifi Trixibelle and Peaches? Thank you mom n dad. Americans are hilarious in their comments. They expect the British to know so much about us, Hollywood and more. But ask them about some films made in the 1900s in the UK... 😂😂 while we were making propoganda against cannabis (Reefer Madness) they were watching Alfred Hitchcock begin his career
Maybe someone who's more familiar with the show can help me out here as someone who was only taken to Pointless by TH-cam a few days ago. How is it that contestants can appear on more than one show? Isn't the idea of game shows generally that they have new contestants every day? I had thought that the idea was that unlike shows such as Jeopardy! in which the winner returns, for Pointless, it's the loser who returns the next show, but I've seen references to people who made it to the head-to-head being back. How do they determine who gets to make an encore appearance?
Initially losers came back for one additional show but later on they get TWO additional shows, except for the team that loses in the 3rd round. Interesting show but I’m appalled by how little Brits know.
@@johnahearn7964actually they changed up the rules around series 6. And this isn't a show with big pub trivia fans but just regular people who enjoy the show. Watch Mastermind or the Chase if you are looking for trivia geeks, cupcake😂
I still dont understand the multipe choice format. Do the people they survey also get the multiple choice? Because with how low those points were...something tells me they were NOT shown multiple choice when surveyed. I can't believe those were pointless/low points. They are such obvious Westerns in the list. I always feel this way for every multiple choice in each episode. I am just gonna assume those they surveyed were just asked to give answers off the top of their heads without any list in front of them
Any western? Seriously? Not for nothing...but I think I could give a couple dozen pointless answers... Are Westerns not that well known in the UK? Edit...Right...they have a multiple choice round in the first... Sorry...got used to the earlier format recently...
Adam, if you’re reading this, you seriously need to ditch Laura. It was clear you wanted to select Golf but she pressured you into R&B, then offered absolutely nothing to assist. You will never be happy with this woman.
he is just a friend, she said it on previous episode. Even after they (He) won, she just gives him a Cold Hand shake, not a kiss or a Hug... Friendzone forever.

Right.... it takes a genius to know the name of Posh and Beck's firstborn.
@@Hexon66It’s actually a hard question for those of us good at trivia that will still be trivia in a hundred years.
43:08 Got the 1st one!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
18:36... Richard! 😆

Got a pointless answer at the end of the show cause another level had that single playing on a Brazilian novela back in 1998.
Help! I can’t make sense of any of this! Where is Ya? HELP ME YA RUUL! 😂😂

@cannaweallgetalong7168 If Americans don't like our quiz programmes they can continue to watch their own dumb shows.

If I chose R and B I would be livid if Jay-Z came up. Guy is just a crack head rapper. This show is a joke sometimes.
