Appart from the visual factor, I don't think that there would be a lot of difference. The RC1 would have more capacity for making longer loops and it also has the volume control, whereas if you get the boss footswitch, it only does like 45 seconds and no volume control (although I don't think I would change it anyway-why would you want your loop to be louder or softer than how it is?) One advantage I can definitely say about using the boss footswitch is that it hardly uses any power whereas the RC1 will flatten a 9 volt battery in around 4 hours. I have the boss footswitch and I don't know how long it takes to go flat, but I would say around 100 hours

an internal effects loop on the cube would be better so you good just apply the reverb to the lead break
