I'm not a furry of any sort but I love watching these videos because it's amazing and really heart-warming to see complete strangers act like they've known each other forever. The silliness and playfulness is just really sweet to watch.
I can't wait to go this week! Im going either on Friday or Sunday. I will be fursuiting in Scout. My wolf-kangaroo mix. It will be so much fun and I hope to meet you all!
I'll be at ANE 2016! It will be my first convention ever! I'm going with my best friend and I can't wait to make new friends! We won't be staying at the Hyatt Regency though because we live about 45 minutes away.
I wanted to go this year but I was busy with Anthrocon and Bronycon. But in 2016 and beyond I'm just gonna focus all my time and energy into Anthrocon and AnthroNewEngland.
This is the second time in boston and now Cambridge, MA!! is not fair I want to go too!! :'( At the all I live in Lynn Massachusetts anyway I was this close to go there.

+Viktor You don't need a fursuit to go to furry cons, much like you don't need to cosplay at an anime/general geek con. Also, most cons allow people under 18, but you have to bring a parent/guardian along and stay with them at all times.
I went to my first furry convention (also my first convention) at Megaplex on August 1st this year since that comment. It was very disappointing for me. I felt left out. I missed out on the parade and Uncle Kage's story panel which was on the day before I went. I didn't really meet anyone let alone make any new friends. The few people I talked to didn't seem very interested in conversing with me. I didn't have a camera with me, so I don't have much for souvenirs. The dance competition was decent, but I couldn't see the performers well if at all because there wasn't a raised stage nor screen. I was just wandering around the hotel for the most part, looking for something to do or someone interesting. My mom took a picture with Uncle Kage, but I never saw him. Basically, the highlight of the time I had there (which was just an afternoon and morning while checking-out) was when I was sitting down, bored and a bit tired, and I waved to a fursuiter at the other side of the lobby, and he got behind a pillar and started peeking out playfully. He then walked over to me and read my name tag (which was Toasty since I don't have a fursona yet). I guess he took some interest in meeting me but either way the interaction was short as his friend arrived through the front entrance and they left to their room. Before his friend left I asked him what the fursuiter's name was. He said it was Slasher. I tried to look for him online but my attempts were fruitless. It's kinda like the dreams I use to have when I was younger: disappointment and let-down. Edit: I am not depressed or anything. I am often stressed and sometimes down but I survive. I am not trying to get people to pity me or feel bad. I just wanted to share my first convention experience and to reach out to the community for support.
OMGitsZeddy Um, I was mainly talking about real life friends. I mean I don't have many online friends either but that's mainly due to my taste in video games. But if you think we can work something out I can give you my Skype. I don't really use any other form of communication.
Sadly my parents don't know about anthorcon and i do but i feel the wont accept me as a furry i wish to go to those con but i really can show myself as a furry because my friends hate them and i don't have any to talk about it or just simply chill about it

Usually whats one the inside is fine. The ones in fursuit are usually older teens and young adults.

How much interaction do non-fursuiters get? It kinda seems like having a suit is the only way to have fun there.

Dont be afraid to tell them, and if your friends and family don't accept you then tell them its your choice.
