  • Despite often being painted as the guy who couldn’t take the Warriors over the hump, Steph Curry and Draymond Green heap praise on Mark Jackson and think that his name being circulated in job rumors like the Lakers is well deserved.

Let me "Mark Jackson" you for a moment. "Mama, there goes that man." Coach Jackson, I am pointing at you.
When Coach Jackson says Curry ruined the game, he isn't exactly telling the whole story. I believe he has more ownership in this evolution than Curry. It is my humble opinion that if he had not "allowed" Curry, and Thompson, to showcase their skills, we would.not be seeing the same basketball we see today. Don't believe me? Look at the New York Rens and the Harlem Globetrotters. You talk about ball handling, look at Marques Haynes and Curly Neill. Heck, Meadowlark Lemon and Goose Tatum used to hit half court HOOK shots consistently. Watch the video of Wilt Chamberlain nonchalantly hitting consecutive hook shots from behind the three point line. It is assumed that because past players did not display certain skills, the skills did not exist. I believe the skills were there, but the players we were allowed to see did not possess them. (Hey, my dad, who was in his 60's and overweight, could shoot jumpers and hook shots with BOTH hands.) Also, when players could have presented those skills to the masses, they were restricted by their coaches. The skills worked on playgrounds but were useless in games was what the media was directed to say. The coaches vigorously controlled those players because those players were doing things coaches couldn't, wouldn't, or just didn't want to understand. As always with history, "superior" minds chose to restrict certain people rather use their imagination to encourage their growth. This is where Mr. Jackson enters basketball history. He looked at his players, saw their abilities, and decided to devise schemes to incorporate those abilities. More importantly, despite criticism from basketball experts (you know who you are,), he doubled down by saying he had the best shooting guards in league history. Talk about letting your guys know you believed in them. It is one thing to say it in practice and another to shout if from the mountain top. I don't know how it affected Curry and Thompson, but it sure looked like it motivated them. Coach Jackson stood by them when they made shots, and he stood by them when they missed shots. One could argue that if he had not "unleashed" the Splash Brothers before Steve Kerr took over, we may not be looking at the current iteration of the NBA. Players always took those shots before and after practice. However, only one coach brought it online. So, Coach Jackson, when talking about who ruined the game, maybe look at the man in the mirror. Many, many, many other coaches had the opportunity to ruin the game, but only you had the guts to do it.
    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Coach McKillop, where you at!. Stand up and take a vow. You deserve some "blame" as well.

The NBA is a small fraternity that "look out" for each other. Mark Jackson was being put on a professional timeout by the other owners and GM's because of the Warriors front office badmouthing him to the other teams.
Enough time has passed that they feel he has "learned his lesson" and it's cool for him to come back now. Granted he had some faults of his own but not anything that would warrant being frozen out from coaching for almost 10 years.
He is the reason why the Warriors became a contender. Steve Kerr was handed a Lamborghini and told not to crash it but Mark Jackson assembled that car first before it changed owners. He deserves a 2nd shot.

Lemme explain why Mark Jackson has rarely been seriously considered by OWNERSHIP, for another job by most organizations:
Started a fake beef based on lies between his own starters and bench players, telling his starters that Festus Ezeli was actively rooting against their team success. Did this type of pitting bench players against starters and vice versa with many other players too. All based on lies.
Wanted executive Jerry West, one of the all time best players in NBA history, and the one who scouted & drafted all the Warriors stars, banned from team practice facilities.
Refused Bob Myers offer of an unlimited blank check to sign the most expensive offensive assistant coaches, to better utilize the generational offensive talents of Steph & Klay, multiple times, saying “we have the best staff already”. No you don’t. You were too scared to hire the best assistants, cause you were paranoid they would all steal your job. You were even scared your own assistants, like Mike Malone, would take your job.
Mark was openly & vocally anti-LGBTQ lifestyle, when numerous employees in the Warriors organization are LGBTQ, including team president Rick Welts, who invented the concept of all-star-weekend, and is popular in the very pro-gay Bay Area.
Tried to proselytize/christianize owner Joe Lacob’s son Kirk Lacob, when the Lacob family is Jewish, who think Christ was just a dishonest insane blasphemer, who is in hell “boiling in hot excrement” since his execution. Trying to proselytize/Christianize an owner’s son is very “career suicide” move, because the majority of NBA owners are Jewish, and don’t want to hire and empower such vocally prominent Christians, who push their views on everyone in the organization, regardless of if it’s the owner’s own family, or a stadium security guard lol
Mark Jackson wanted Steph & Klay to shoot less 3’s, even said Steph was “ruining the game” setting a bad precedent for kids, by shooting too many 3’s, as the kids didn’t want to work on other aspects of their game.
Also, all this nonsense about Mark being “the foundation of Steph Curry” is false. Mark’s pre-draft assessment of Steph was that he wouldn’t even last in the NBA due to small size, weak body, and reliance on 3pt shooting. Said he would play overseas, not the NBA.
Told the team Harrison Barnes slump was due to demonic possession. This isn’t a joke, it’s from assistant coach Darren Erman.
This is the same guy, who as an older player, actively tried to stage a coup against hall of fame starting PG John Stockton, starting fake beefs between Jazz players and Stockton. Again, all based on Jackson’s own lies.
He’s a toxic psycho cult leader type, hiding behind the image of a moral preacher.
But I could see the Knicks or Lakers hiring him, because the Lakers ownership and Knicks Ownership are two of the few ownership families who aren’t Jewish, and wouldn’t be so viscerally repulsed by the idea of enabling a Christian preacher as a coach.

Has been a L.A. Laker fan for about 50 years and a Warriors fan too let me say California Love, the Lakers organization lack brain cells no one that sees the talent in people there, that's why they have all these talentless players, and not 1 really great defensive player ( like Draymond 🍏 Green) I doubt they're going to consider Mark Jackson, he's been right there, 🧐
