We had Duplo and Lego for our four children, and many wooden toys and special books. I saved them and they have now been shared between our four grandchildre! The Duplo and Lego is truly vintage, over forty years old!
Hi Raya, my son is 3,5 years old and we gifted him a few secondhand playmobil items (like animal shelter, police and Campervan) and also schleich animals. Both things I still owned from when I was young and are in great condition! We live in the Netherlands and we celebrate Sinterklaas (5th of december) and Christmas. So we already had a lot of present giving done. The Playmobil he is really loving. Also a docter-suitcase for roleplay, a hairdressers belt and ‘dress up’ clothes like a dinosaur suit or superman suit are very loved here!! Love your video’s ❤ Thank you for your presence here! As a grandparent I thought I would share a few favorites I like to gift each year. 1. Books! Books are the best. I have been using iseeme custom book company and very high quality and good price. 2. Each year we make a metal Christmas ornament with a photo of me with my grand and granddad and the grand for that year. As the kids grow they get so excited when decorating the tree to see them each year. As they grow older so do we and we are documenting it with ornaments.

My 20 month old has taken a small but sweet interest in Otters recently. So I "symbolically adopted" a sea otter for her through WWF. You get a personalized adoption certificate and a sweet stuffed animal. They have all different types of animals, something for every kid. I thought it was a cute idea.

My 7 yo son loves to play with Magna tiles and even Duplo which is super easy to build and take down. He also plays with the wooden tracks, so for sure all those will be played with by Neo and his siblings for years to come.
For my soon to be 3 year old son, his main Christmas present from me is the magnet tiles too. For my 5 month daughter are new toys for her. We gotten him a balance bike and he loves riding it.

My daughter will be 4 months old with Christmas, so there is no need to buy a lot I feel like. She'll get the Yoto player (for now just to listen to and when she's older she can put cards in herself) and the Ikea gym mat. Both will be toys she can love for many years to come! 😊
11:43 I'm wondering whether it would be a good idea to have the flight attendant fill the 'brush ' just in case the security is worried about clear liquid. I have no doubt that you fly more often than I do, but it would be a shame to delay your progress for a little water!
I’ll probably just fill it in the bathroom at the airport or on the plane - great shout though someone could easily fill at home trying to be prepared and get stuck in security for ages!
My partner and I were just talking about what to gift our to be 1 year old for Christmas and then shortly after his birthday and this was really helpful!
These are all great! Mine are a bit older (12, 5) and I can attest that everything you have on your list has been played with for years by both of my kiddos. We actually just switched from Duplo to regular Lego bricks (sad day) so over a decade of almost every day play. One thing I’d add that both my kids have loved is a doll house/small dolls or characters. A 12:2 scale dollhouse was the big gift when our daughter was 2, she’s 12 now and I still see her ‘play’ with it weekly. Our son is a bit rougher with his toys and has the lovevery version with the camper van. We like the mini American girl sized dolls because they were always easiest to dress. My son uses action figures for toddlers.
My kids are 7&8 and have played with legos and duplos - they still prefer duplos! They’re easier for them to play independently and the scale is bigger, so when they make houses or shops for their trucks, it doesn’t take as long.
My daughter is really into art now so it’s all paint, pastels, crayons, etc. This results in a lot of artwork, so I created a book of her artwork using a company called Artkive. I started when she was 3 and will probably do another one soon.
A therapy swing that hangs from the ceiling it has entertained my son for 4 years and I'm absolutely sure it's going to for at least 4 more it was worth clearing out the space for it best investment I've ever made as a mom of three
hey, with the yoto card, you have to make sure that your yoto is connected to the wifi in order to play a card for the first time. once it has fully played, you won't need wifi again (so you can use it on the plane for example, just make sure you've 'downloaded' it through wifi first). good luck! we have 60+ cards and once e figured this out we've not had a single problem with any.
The wooden jungle gym thing gave me a lot of anxiety with my kiddo. We had the one that turned into a rocker + pad, plus the triangle. Even at 2+ she kept falling and hitting her face and head or even smashing her fingers on it.

Just so you are aware, the pizza toy is for ages 3 on up due to the pieces being a choking hazard. There is one with felt pieces that is more age appropriate.

My 5.5 year old asked for some lego duplo for Christmas. Regular legos are still too hard for her to build with easily.
