  • I'm quite sure I've not built this one before, bit hard to remember these days heh, but anyway this was a rather nice kit to put together, though did seem a take bit older than the usual items coming from Metcalfe!
Only thing which was a bit fiddly really was the chimneys along the top of the roof and the lintels which are just because they are small, did have a few pieces left over but I couldn't see where they were meant to go and even without them the kit still looks great!

You're getting quite into these kits I see.
I just remembered there used to be a brand way back that offered modular building components but if you calculated a whole building they would cost you a fortune.
These kits certainly give you better value.
Btw, I wouldn't worry too much about anything not being completely straight.
It adds to the authenticity in my opinion, most of these sheds will be old and have suffered over the years, just do a bit of weathering and it looks perfect 😄

I just find them relaxing to put together, just get it all set up, put something on to listen to in the background and after a bit it's all built heh
And do think these are quite good value, and yeah I know I shouldn't be too fussed about getting it exact, but since I tend to give these away for my usual give-aways I keep thinking their new owners might want them more correct heh

@@GosportRailworks I see, kits can be quite relaxing indeed.
The more I look around the more kits I see.
Gone are the days when we would just have to be satisfied with kits by bigger brands that weren't all that.
Cardboard kits are everywhere now in every scale.

Indeed, the market does seem to be more varied with the range of kits available for all skill levels, have seen some that can take a good while to put together (I think, might've been a scratch build) along with some that you just glue the sides together and it's all done.

Lovely kit James. I was looking at one for the layout. Think I might take a trip to gaugemaster 🚂👍

Ta very much, and would recommend having a go building one, it's a nice kit for an afternoon project!

I used white gorilla glue on a similar paper train station. Despite me having 10 thumbs it turned out ok!

Well done! And I'm still somewhat like that, though it's bit hard to tell with the time lapse but normally by the end of it I've usually got something glued to me somehow heh
