I don't organize my subjects I just stuff them all in one binder and hope that I don't inexplicably need one of the pages from 3 months ago from one of the 2 classes I have which involves any kind of notes at all, and it actually works surprisingly well

Yellow was always history/Social studies. I think the reason for it is that faded historic photos always had a yellow tint to it. English/Literature was green> Science (of any variety) was always white/blue. Math was red. As red denoted danger, and math was so terrible to a lot of students that it immediately invoked danger. Or simply was the cause of a lot of red marks. Art was just...anything that was colored on front of it. The background didn't matter. Heck my art teacher used manila folders. Band was usually blue (if not science) or black. Everything else didn't matter as you didn't need a notebook or folder like P.E, computers, etc.

One thing I like least about the American school system is how you cram all the sciences in to one subject, like, how do you even learn the stuff you need to know in such limited time? Nah, nobody is correct here. Green is science. This is the most obvious one. I cannot comprehend how anyone would willingly have science as any other colour, save for maybe blue. Blue is english. Well, it's only really in elementary and middle school where that happens. In high school, they split it up.

Yeah at high school they start splitting it up as i took a different science each year. I went from Advanced > Biology > Chemistry > Physics
