    I do mine on the end of an ironing board with a regular iron. Works great!

    what about the plastic mesh, can you put vinyl on that ? Wish there was a technology that could do that.

    what material/ brand did you use on the foam of hat to heat transfer it

    • @FoxysDomesticSide
      @FoxysDomesticSide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally Thermoflex heat transfer vinyl, but have also used Siser Easyweed too. All products I used are linked in the post. Hope this answers your question.

    Did you have to use a special type of tape to hold it down?

    • @FoxysDomesticSide
      @FoxysDomesticSide  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! Without the tape and the curve of the hat, I don't think it would stay down and I think it would move when I tried to iron it down. Hope that helps!

    How can I put vinyl on the mesh? Great video.

    • @FoxysDomesticSide
      @FoxysDomesticSide  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think that will work as there isn’t enough surface area for the htv to stick to and it might melt the material of the mesh when you apply the heat.

    Do you get the crease out the hat

    • @FoxysDomesticSide
      @FoxysDomesticSide  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mostly did, I gently ironed it out. In the end if you looked really close you could see it, but on someone's head you couldn't :)

    Hello Foxy, great video, awesome detail, love it. I want to know what vinly do i use for mesh poly foam caps? Would it be everyday mesh iron-on vinyl? Also what vinyl type is great for polyester caps, and lastly what vinyl is good for PVC material like the clear backpack, thank you so much, i appreciate if you can get back at me, thanks.

      I use the brand Thermo-Flex for my HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl), you can only iron on the vinyl on the fabric part, not the mesh part. You could use the same vinyl for polester hats. Clear backpacks you have to be careful with as it can melt. Depending on what you are doing with it,
      it might be better to use a 651 vinyl, which is just a permanent vinyl, instead of a heat transfer vinyl. Hope this answers your questions. Good luck with your project!

      @@FoxysDomesticSide Thank you very much Foxy, much appreciated. I see alot of different type of Thermal Flex. Yea, using heat on mesh might burn, i have a sheet in between so i guess it help and try not to press too long on the heat to the mesh. Haven't tried clear backpack yet. I'll check 651 vinyl permanent, thanks.

    It's crooked. The 'T' should have lined up with the factory crease.

    Why not just use an iron??

    • @FoxysDomesticSide
      @FoxysDomesticSide  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use an iron if you don't have a heat press/Easy Press. I find that my iron does not get hot enough to make the HTV stick as well and I have to press super hard and for a WAY longer time, a minute or longer, instead of 20 seconds. Easier for me to use the way bigger Easy Press.
