A continuación un poco de información sobre la pieza:
Le Chemin de Fer es la primera obra de la que se tiene registro es dedicada o inspirada en trenes o locomotoras, en la obra la mano izquierda es la encargada de representar el sonido de la locomotora, mientras la derecha representanta el alegre viaje de los pasajeros, según Alkan, este es un viaje largo
El inicio de la obra ya de por sí es hilarante, la mano izquierda abre sola tocando la nota La con una octava más abajo cada compás, a una velocidad de aproximadamente 17 notas por segundo (sólo la mano izquierda) después entra la mano derecha tocando escalas que recorren más de la mitad del teclado, luego Alkan abre paso a una sona de arpeggios sucesivos con ambas manos, mientras la mano derecha a la vez sostiene una tecla con los dedos de la orilla (la mano derecha también continúa con los arpeggios) luego de este hermoso pero caprichoso momento Alkan recurre a hacer escalas muy pronunciadas con la mano derecha mientras la izquierda toca ráfagas de notas en los graves, luego se retoma el tema del inicio, luego la mano derecha salta rápidamente hasta la última octava del teclado tocando una serie de octavas bastante ágiles y rápidas, mientras ahora la mano izquierda hace escalas que abarcan una octava y media, este pasaje de apenas 5 segundos es sumamente exigente, después la mano derecha vuelve a su ubicación anterior tocando arpeggios de una octava entera mientras la mano izquierda hace escalas en staccato, luego de eso la obra vuelve a una sección donde la mano izquierda hace arpeggios rotos continuados con la mano derecha, después la obra vuelve al tema del inicio, y poco a poco se contiene para dar cabida al clímax de la obra, la cual simplemente es mounstrosa, la mano izquierda hace saltos de una octava entera en la velocidad de una corchea, abarcando ésta la mitad grave del teclado, mientras la mano derecha hace escalas que abarcan la otra mitad del teclado a una velocidad vertiginosa, luego de esto la obra se apaga, y termina en un acordé amplio pero lento.
Alkan exigió que ésta pieza se tocara exactamente a la velocidad indicada, la cuál era 120 blancas por minuto, según los lineamientos de Alkan, cualquier interpretación que exceda los 5 minutos con 3 segundos es inapropiadamente lenta.

Alkan demanded that this piece be played exactly at the indicated speed, which was 120 white per minute, according to Alkan's guidelines, any interpretation that exceeds 5 minutes with 3 seconds is inappropriately slow.

It is like an auditory illusion. You really have to see the trees in the forest as the saying goes.
It is some really clever composing. The "secret" of this sound might have something to do with the spacing of the notes.
It's called voicing, and it's done on purpose by the performer or composer. It's very common in classical music and as you said it does add depth and extra melodies.@@vshah1010

I am wondering the same. His midis were actually the best on youtube and alot of his videos were literally the best interpretation I could find. I really miss his channel :/

Copyright strikes most likely. He used a lot of copyrighted audio from concerts and performances in his videos so I suspect some retard copyright owner got a feather up his ass and decided to fuck him. C'est surtout les gens qui sont zinzins de jouer cette pièce aussi vite ( ainsi que 99% des pièces pour le piano ) , il faut mettre en vitesse 0.5 pour avoir le bon tempo , la pièce est tellement plus belle et agréable comme ça . Alkan est un excellent compositeur qui souffre lui aussi comme tout les autres compositeurs de cette décadence musicale contemporaine .
