I LOVE IT WHEN DESIGNERS SPEAK OF DETAILS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE GAZILLION TIMES BEFORE AS IF THEY ARE THEIR OWN UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL CREATIONS. THEY SPEAK OF THEMSELVES AS "COUTURE" DESIGNERS WHEN, IN REALITY, THEY HAVE USED CLICHE AFTER CLICHE IN UNIMPRESSIVE ROOMS THAT WE'VE ALL SEEN AD INFINITUM.
i get what you are trying to say so i feel they miss use the word designer as they dont create they decorate....with whats on hand and what they think or know or trust goes together. they are interior decorators.
My favorite I love neutrals with depth, texture and variations of materials! I not a big fan of bright colors in my home by I appreciate color overall! I like a calm vibe in my home. Fun to see everyone’s design and personalities 🙌😊
Loved the designer who was able to make a black&white NY/Brooklyn themed bathroom with social/historic commentary, but than also just be appreciated at a surface level too
The best was saved for last. I absolutely loved the designs of Michelle Gerson, Sasha Bikoff, and Eddie Maestri. Their design styles spoke volumes to me. I loved how Maestri remained loyal to the original mid -century modern design of his Dallas home. He was very meticulous in his selection of furnishings, which perfectly complemented the wallpaper, fireplace, flooring and captured the entire essence of that time period. Very tastefully done ❣️ Bikoff's beach home was eclectic, inviting and charming with whimsical touches. Although her place has a very basic appearance from the outside, it has lots of character from within. Loved it! 😁 Gerson's home project had all the right features from windows to flooring. I could actually visualize living in that home. Absolutely fabulous!! 😍😆❤️
Yes, the key to Maestri's success was not rushing the process to meet some artificial deadline (since it was his own home)...everything was beautifully done and it didn't have to be a person's personal taste to see the artistry/craftsmanship involved.
It's always interesting how these bright homes with the high ceilings need to be made to feel warmer and more cozy. Thank goodness my little place has 8-foot ceilings! It's already cozy, and my energy bills are lower!
Sounds like a sensible process that is also elegant... Have a superb time... ! Look forward to more of the beauty shots for your people! Trips - maybe a day trip ... Blessings and enjoy the wine! 🎉 Joanne
The house on the first video is crazy. Obviously a mega amazing super lux house, but the way the open space is laid out doesn't give the impression of a home at all but a market hall or something. Lacks all elements of intimacy and just feels like a sterile public space
Wow!!! I love your design I am a dreamer and love doing my home design it’s a passion and when I see your designs it’s just blows me away thank you for sharing your amazing beautiful work ❤❤
as for the books and the piano area which is so stinking cute, id add it would be either or spot... no reading unless sound cancelers when someone playing piano...
That first one - the designer is a good host and very likable. And think she would be great to work with. The people who own the house clearly have a poopload of money.
I totally know what you’re talking about but I think the white palette was really complimentary to the location. She even says the main focus while designing was the view. Amidst all the white, there’s so much pattern and texture. Which imo was compensation for minimal use of color. When there was color it felt super intentional and more impactful. However anytime I see a Studio McGee space I think sterile😅
Omggg! Love the constant. I’m going to Arizona for Xmas to visit my nephew. I Would love to meet your lovely cast. I’ve been fooomg you for years. Loveeee your contact. I hope when I go to meet you and some of your cast. Love your work.
I've been watching Sarah since the beginning. Love her love her team. Iwatched this episode whan it came out made me smile then and really makes me smile now . My very favorite designer of all time ❤😊
Mat Bermans home exterior is just beautiful love the doors and railings , beautiful moldings .Love the limestone. I WANT THE LEATHER SOFA.I love the built in shutters great casing and paneling. I would have put a reading nook area in the bay . A few bookshelves would work I'm a bit more traditional and these are mod guys . Love the dark color in the family area . Beautiful blue in bathrooms. I would have changed the molding of stairs to match the era of molding in the house but would cost a fortune great job of subduing it with paint.nice tile in primary and guest bath . Lovely presentation. Looks like a loved home great brownstone
Eddie Maestri hands down had the BEST house and design in my opinion. Everything worked together and felt comfortable! Eddie where did you find the Green wallpaper in your bathroom. Please share.
I'm a bit surprised at how little I like many of these designs. I like many styles and approaches, and I would prefer to like something than to dislike it, but in this case there are several things that I don't think work very well.
If the hardwood floor used was more of a light silver grey it would match the foyer tile color and pick up on the grey furniture accents and marbling. :) Just my eyes...seeing a more seamless solution visually.
Girrrrrl. I'm like noone else noticed that dogwhistle? How racist do you have to be to want to showcase that on an interior design programme? I guess the producers didn't mind.
I hate when they say Designer's Homes but more than half are of their clients. I wanna see where THEY, the actual designers actually live- that to me is interesting.
Even though I usually make negative comments when you show fugly, overdesigned show house spaces, I realize I still like to cringe watch them to see just how bad things can get, even with tons of budget/craftsmanship
@artetface I said I make negative comment "when you show fugly, overdesigned show house spaces" #contextmatters That said, I think there's not as much "beauty in everything for everyone" in fugly, overdesigned spaces. 🤣🤣🤣 Glad you like fugly things though 👏👏👏
Is the Jersey Shore that ugly everywhere? It looks like a cheap Dutch holiday park - ouch... I mean she keeps talking about the view. Calls it a killer view, probably because it kills you to be reminded how much you payed for this place every time you look out...

Ghislaine and Chet are unique. A modern twist on everything. I love it all.
I would not say the rooms are "unimpressive," but they are not unique.
Ashley cathey is the best designer
i get what you are trying to say so i feel they miss use the word designer as they dont create they decorate....with whats on hand and what they think or know or trust goes together. they are interior decorators.
I can’t imagine being so fortunate to live in that home that Christina Kim designed!! Beyond gorgeous!
In her first house in video.
My favorite I love neutrals with depth, texture and variations of materials!

Sasha Bikoff is a true original and a revelation. Wow!
The first location & house is so perfect, I'm speechless.
Your design expands to modern styled to eclectic . Very beautiful
Sounds like a sensible process that is also elegant... Have a superb time... ! Look forward to more of the beauty shots for your people! Trips - maybe a day trip ... Blessings and enjoy the wine! 🎉 Joanne
Comfortable, functional and timeless.
Nice
What a beautiful house. Spacious and custom designed. Elements
The house on the first video is crazy. Obviously a mega amazing super lux house, but the way the open space is laid out doesn't give the impression of a home at all but a market hall or something. Lacks all elements of intimacy and just feels like a sterile public space
Excellent choice on the entry floor looks very welcoming!
No no to that 3 am dream esoicislly the green gold sitting .. the upstairs book area is well done would have added a bit more but it feels cozy
Wow!!! I love your design I am a dreamer and love doing my home design it’s a passion and when I see your designs it’s just blows me away thank you for sharing your amazing beautiful work ❤❤
Maravilhosas decorações!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!
So many great ideas for a home decode love it
Hi, I live around the corner on North st....I've always admired your garden..💕 my God loving neighbor
love the beach house, but this kipsbay show house is my personal nightmare 🙈
Agreed. 🤮
It's just not consustant , I love to have surprises in rooms but didn't work in all
The outdoor fireplace was a great addition loved the mantel area
Except for the lilac/gray and white/cream bedroom designed by Natasha Baradaran. That was sophisticated, elegant and completely gorgeous!!
as for the books and the piano area which is so stinking cute, id add it would be either or spot... no reading unless sound cancelers when someone playing piano...

Anybody else feel like they’ve seen that first house a million times? There’s so much white, it’s sterile. The upkeep is going to be really tough.

YES! Yawn..
I agree. I have to skip. It bores the heck out of me.
No. I love the first house so I have no problem seeing it again. It’s not sterile, it’s coastal.

Love the doors and windows in the Ponterio home . Beautiful home and stone work
Eddie Maestri interior design🤩ıts perfect💥
love the first house! it's my dream to live in one :)
Stunning.
Home envy from me!
Nice
This is weird, but all I could see at first is the pink pants need to be tailored.😂
Ditto 😂. When you have interior taste doesn’t mean you have fashion taste 😂
agreed - too big and too long...
Stunning home!
Like first and last episode
Yes … first and last for me too !
I know that using huge windows to grab more lights inside is intentional and that's very effective for the entire design. 😍✨
Stunning ❤
It’s all white. Cool 😮
Anthony Barratta always affs a rouch of whimsy so cool
Eddie Maestri hands down had the BEST house and design in my opinion. Everything worked together and felt comfortable! Eddie where did you find the Green wallpaper in your bathroom. Please share.
Love the kitchen wallpaper
Some of these folks need new careers
I'm a bit surprised at how little I like many of these designs. I like many styles and approaches, and I would prefer to like something than to dislike it, but in this case there are several things that I don't think work very well.
The sanctuary space is less cringey than the other showhouse spaces
When someone goes from an obsession with ticking stripes, and then says "chinoiserie" with the hard "ch" like "chin."😅
Love kids Bay house
Rebuilding from Sandy? I was born in that area. Beautiful house in Manasquan.
The area is where I spent my summers years ago. Very overbuilt now.
Many good dinners at the shrimp box, nice town.
I have been looking for a parrot lamp just like that. Anyone know where to source one?
que maravilhoso 🥰
They were all nice design but nothing really exciting. I guess the last house had a bit of the excitement I was looking for in a designed home
Love primary sofa , and wallpaper but headboard doesnt wirk for me
What's the track playing on the background at 1:20:40 please?
Bikoff is a tad self-indulgent. The only time I caught that whiff, out of two Marathon DHT's.
Liked it… but what if Pistachio green is not a classic choice of color. Wished you have chosen a classic color.
Would have brought out the molding in the dining room
WHO LIKE ME LEFT THIS VIDEO WHEN THE MAN WITH HOUSE multicolored I don't know how he can support it
I just want to know if Ashley Darryl showed us a Confederate sweater at 48:02.
what neighborhood is this dallas home in? i'm from dallas, trying to place it. oak cliff?
Preston Hollow area
english pezi where did u go
The Ghislane viñas house needed a different owner.
If the hardwood floor used was more of a light silver grey it would match the foyer tile color and pick up on the grey furniture accents and marbling. :) Just my eyes...seeing a more seamless solution visually.
I found them all neutral, safe and clean looking but nothing exciting
Is that a stuffed bird on the table?……
Great way to show off your confederate clothing!
Girrrrrl. I'm like noone else noticed that dogwhistle? How racist do you have to be to want to showcase that on an interior design programme? I guess the producers didn't mind.

Ewww yeah the sofas have hydraulic lifts to push up when they watch tv 📺
that's not where "Kiki" comes from.
Nothing that different or edgy here.
nah.
BORING....
Even though I usually make negative comments when you show fugly, overdesigned show house spaces, I realize I still like to cringe watch them to see just how bad things can get, even with tons of budget/craftsmanship
It may not be your style but then again you just said you “usually make negative comments” there’s beauty in everything for everyone.
Wine rooms should be dark, but if you think that it's a matter of your taste then, As a designer you flunk
Is the Jersey Shore that ugly everywhere? It looks like a cheap Dutch holiday park - ouch... I mean she keeps talking about the view. Calls it a killer view, probably because it kills you to be reminded how much you payed for this place every time you look out...
It feels sterile to me.
That single womans bedroom is horrendous
Many reasons why you should never hire an interior designer.
48:03 Ashley Darryl's busy whipping out her confederate flag couture like, "I may be from NY but don't think I don't have racist hEriTAgE too." 😂
