CHICKEN!!! YAY!!! Sorry, got a little excited there. Thank you ZUN for bringing Kutaka back more than once. Nothing much to say this episode other than notable cards. -Law of the Survival of the Fittest - If you take a lot of Ringo Brand Dumplings, you'll notice a lot of them will start missing. This patches that right up, making your shots have much bigger hitboxes. -Offensive Jeweled Pagoda - Another good damage equipment card. Very good for shotgunning. -Dragon Pipe - More of a long-run card than anything else, what this does is give you an extra life every 3 waves.
I like how dependent Komachi’s attacks are on the magic circle. Even if it’s just a Clownpiece spell ripoff, it’s creativity like this that I wish was seen through the entire game. Also, Eika’s spell card wasn’t translated in game? Maybe she got a mint condition, OG line from the video game store.
For some reason zun tends to be a bit more lazy danmaku wise on spinoffs lately, but it didnt come near as bad as a certain spinoff ...right violet detector?
For the "Onibi Drop" pattern, you can shuffle the bullets by slowing them with the circle, reusing them as more come down, getting more bullet money than you otherwise would.
This was a stage that almost just stopped me entirely. The whiplash of the possible encounters really added up and I was having really bad visibility issues, especially depending where in the stage certain waves can spawn. It's easier to keep track of in a replay but sometimes in the midst of it all you just run into bullets or worse ghosts that blend in too much. I had less overall problems with the following stages, instead just having issues on the bosses.

Though if Touhou 20 comes out sometime between then and now, I'll slot that in and play that first.
Yeah, magic circle based cards are broken in this game. If you get max out Byakuren, Aunn and Futo cards, than you have acces to Magic Circle cannon. Add to it Flans card and you don't need to dodge.

I don't know if you already completed the game, but it's about to get brutal. Still, I had a lot of fun with my "power is everything" strategy.
