praying in tongues is for discernment and builds you and to intercede, but another thing is the relationship with Him. The relationship with the Holy Spirit is like the relationship that you have with a person who you love and he or she loves you
You tell Him: "Holy Spirit, can I know you. Can I be your friend." And He answers you through His Word!1
There are times when you dont feel His Presence, I personally kneel and pray in tongues, or I walk through my bedroom and put worship, or I read the Word, or I put a message or a service of Kathryn Kuhlman or of Benny Hinn, This works! !

God is Spirit (Capital S), No man has seen God at anytime. Jesus was the representation of God on Earth. Jesus said, when you've seen me, you have seen the Father, we are One). The Holy Ghost is the representation of Jesus, on Earth. Jesus told his disciples, that if he did not go away, He (the Holy Ghost), would not come.
That which is born of flesh is flesh, that born of spirit is spirit. You can have a spirit that is holy! The Dahli Lama is considered a holy spirit!
