This video sure brought back childhood memories. We lived at the end of a long driveway in the country. The adults and kids would put as much weight on the back of a stuck vehicle some would push to get them out. It became a winter and spring routine

As an Aussie whose hubby loves 4WDing I was thinking chain's for the tyres (do you do that in Scotland?) or a winch at the front of your vehicle. You would been able to pull yourself out with the aid of those trees. Such fun!!
I just shivered. As a 70 almost 71 year old woman I can stare you down for the right. Enjoyed your enjoyment though. Only a bunch of men could pull a laugh out of that. Congratulations for getting out alive. Love your program. Came from Sandi Brock.

I'm from Arizona and grew up on a cattle ranch with no four wheel drive; we learned how to get out of a pickle. Then I went to Michigan for 15 years and had a truck with no four wheel drive. Put a couple of large chunks of wood behind the wheel wells to help with traction in October and took them out after mud season in May. That everyone kept a great attitude is delightful. I always figured the best way to learn the true nature of a person is to have a vehicle break down or get stuck. The snow IS beautiful!
This episode could be “The Sheep Game becomes The Snow Game.” The snow covered landscape is beautiful. I think those snow clogged roads would have been a challenge whether you had proper tires or not. Nice to have help.

Living in New Hampshire USA my husband loves playing on snow like that with his 4wd and all terrain tires. But what an adventure you had and a story to tell.
Hilarious video in the ❄️, Cammy. You could see many things that went wrong coming😁 They could have prepared that 🚜 for you earlier. Easy in such a situation, the right tires. Difficult, such a short drawbar on your scan trailer, the chance of damage is therefore greater to your 🚓 due to the tight turning circle. Hopefully good scan results.

Late to say it but... Western Canada winters are never kind to vehicles without the correct tires. It's terrible getting stuck in snow when it's a few degrees below zero. But deadly when its -30C AND deep snow!
A set of proper All Terrain tyres would have been a help for you but another thing to consider in those elements is weight distribution. You have weight on the front axle and the trailer weight but no real weight on the back axle. If you had a truckman or Ifor top on it adds weight over this but you have the roll top instead, which is lighter and in front of the back axle. For wintry conditions you could put 2 x 20/25 litre tubs of water in the rear bed as close to the tailgate (one each side) and strapped in as it makes a massive difference for traction. The benefit of using these instead of “solid objects” is you can empty the water out if you need the weight capacity for any reason and you just pour the water away.
OH! You're saying "FORK AND dairy"! I was totally hearing something else which would have totally fit the situation that day. 😆 Also, I had no idea it snowed there, especially this late in winter.

Now that I've been watching Cammy's videos for almost a year now, I do understand him much better. Or he has just become better at speaking so English speakers worldwide understand him, which is probably more likely. When he has conversations with other Scotts, as opposed to the camera, I still understand very little.
@@jenni8982 The captions kept puting " shock" when Cammy said sheugh , which is funny. It doesn't pick up the fricative "gh " sound. Older Scots say bocht for bought . wecht for weight and dochter for daughter which is quite Dutch sounding.
As a Mainer who has to deal with snow half the year sometimes, I was yelling at the screen: “DON’T CUT YOUR WHEELS SO SHARP!!!” and other advice unfortunately earned after a lifetime of ploughing, shovelling and wallowing in that white junk. Bottom line, you brought out the heavy artillery and got the job done same as we would when we get “mired”. Yes even those of us who grew up on snowmobiles get hung up every once in a while. 😣❄️
Cammy nae Bull Shi# we had an Asda delivery van do exactly the same ditch cleaning exercise, he did better than you , it took the recovery firm 100 yards to pull him oot. Great video 👍
