You're almost done but you're not almost done. I'm excited for Katadin but I'm sad for Katadin. I know you're already know this but you guys are going to have a fair amount of time of readjusting after you finish the trail. When my girlfriend finished the pct, it took her months to get back to a big part of herself. I can't even imagine, even when I look at let's say day 19 and day 43 and day 60, and we're already so well beyond that. Love you sunshine, love you captain, Nan
If they're silver birch, I guess they were right there in the background when you said you missed them. 100 feet is not that tall, just over 30 metres, and those looked about that height or nearly. In my army boots, I would just cross in narrow waters. Deeper ones I'd go barefoot. And before my knees and ankles went bad, I loved scrambling over rocks like that. Heh, "cooked" it's a gallicism -- "cuit(e)" in French. So cool your catching first bare eyes sight of the destination !!

74 miles is crazy!
The water was so clear on the water crossings. Thought the same thing about being barefoot.
Getting closer!
