Of all the blues... there's a menhera, a war criminal, the one who broke her mic, the one who is in love with herself, and the one who eats day old bicmacs. And Nerissa.
Very lose trope in anime and games that got a huge boost with Re:Zero's Rem, but it originally wasn't "make heroine", losing heroines... it was just generally cold, shy and/or intelligent. Sometimes kuudere, like Rei in Evangelion, or Yuki in Suzumiya Haruhi. It's general association with ice cold, whereas red is fiery, hot, emotional. Also comes from being flustered. But Holomems don't follow it that much. Clearest example in Hololive is probably Fuwamoco. But this trope has been reversed multiple times in anime too... eg. Konata in Lucky Star, Chidori in Full Metal Panic!, Ika Musume, Bulma in DBZ, Medaka in Medaka Box, Aqua in KonoSuba...
if they in your typical school life romance they definitely can look like losing heroine rejected by MC pekora - MC best female friend zone suisei - popular star out of reach zone kobo & gura - little sister zone lamy - drunk neighbour next door zone.
Nerissa is similar to Suisei, Kanata is similar to Gura and Kobo, Ao and Kronii rejected by be narcissist. In the case of the MC is a girl... Altare - Older Brother Zone Rio and Octavio - MC best male friend zone Astel - Bratty Boy Zone.
Thinking back, blue rangers are almost always depicted as the 'out of place' member in every sentai (rangers) series, they're basically "the underestimated genius" kind of characters, somewhat fits the blue members of Hololive..😅 Even Sui-chan used to be doubted as a 'proper idol' before undergoing that particular surgery in the past, doing exclusive vocal & dance trainings, and releasing amazing songs Also Gura, she was basically a 'walking controversy' in her early days, until she hits million subs, that is And Kobo (forgot ehek..), the blue gremlin with unique skillset, also shares the ups and downs of the blues Anyway, take my comment with a grain of salt, i speak from my own POV as a long-time DD & casual viewer, feel free to correct me..👍😌
Im guessing this is due to the anime trope. The most notable one being Rem from ReZero, but I can also think of Kurumu from Rosario and Vampire off the top of my head Blue haired girls usually aren't endgame in harem anime.
@@Eclin I love Tsugumi. I'll be honest though, wasn't really that big of a Rem fan. I don't dislike her, but she is kind of boring after her introduction arc. I'm fairly sure that's why she was basically written out. The writer wouldn't know how to proceed with the story with her around. Also fairly sure that's why Onodera never got any development in Nisekoi, the writer couldn't do anything with her because he basically started her right next to the finish line. My first anime crush was a blue girl though. Karin from DNA².
I really like Lamy cause of the banter she has with her chat. Its a fun atmosphere.
Iirc Lamy started getting called losing heroine cause Watame was getting a lot of Botan's attention at one point lol
Su looked like she can be Lamy's long lost sister from her human parent.
Great, that guy really blew it. Now the blues are going to unite their powers.

War criminal, I know of
But who are the menhera, the mic broker, the self-lover, and the day-old-bicmacs eater?
In Hololive all the most popular girls are blue: Gura, Pekora, Suisei, Kobo. And Lamy is the most popular in 5th gen.
Blue hair is the best girls in every Gen :D
Lamy is not a losing heroine because she's blue
Lamy is a losing heroine because her lion got stolen by a sheep
Kobo's a bad example lmao she got NTR'd on her 3D debut
In Hololive, blue is the color of victory, now blonde is the color of struggle, like Aki
And in Lamy's case if anything, others lose to her, like Nene

But we're talking about anime characters

It all leads back to Evangelion.
they aren’t endgame heroine but they tend to be popular with the actual fanbase. Rem, Tsugumi, and Rei i can think of off my head.
