- Loving my Unagi The Model One Electric scooter unfortunately the nut holding the handlebar/wheel had come loose, so why not make a video when I fix it :) enjoy.
The key to his repair (in case you don't know what it was in the video) is using Loctite Threadlocker on the threads/nut. This will semi "glue", for lack of a better term, the nut to the bolt so it doesn't vibrate loose. He even had a nylok nut on there and it still loosened up. There are different types of Loctite for different applications, but just get the Blue (242). Its best all around to have in your tool box. Red is for extreme duty and much harder to break loose with hand tools. Hope this helps
Thanks because he didn't say what he put on it
You sir, are a godsend! Saved me 100$ in repair (that's how much the Unagi service center said it would charge for a "small repair")
Great 🤩
That's why you should rent from them. They will do all repairs and returned to you within 3 days for free.
I'm soo happy I found your channel! I recently bought an used Unagi E500 and have that same issue. Thanks to your video I was able to fix it. I had no idea there were 4 screws behind that lil reflector ya removed. Just liked, subscribed and smashed that bell notifications. 👍
Thanks Dave, happy to help 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hi! Thanks!!!! You saved my life, after falling twice driving my Unagui, I realized I was losing stability because the front wheel was loose. I found your video, followed your steps and it worked perfectly. Thank you again, I would’ve ended up run over for sure (my kids thank you too) Merry Christmas dude!
Merry Christmas 🎄
I’m glad that my video helped you 🤩🤩🤩
Those 2.5mm screws are actually torx not allen head screws. 👍
Yes I also have that problem. Now you‘re motivating me to fix it.
Good one king trafikskola
Go for it 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you very much for the video.Great help.
Thank you sooo much. This was super helpful❤
Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for making this video!
Thanks.
Mine got bad again. The hole was widened. Had to use chemical metal. Hope it holds up better now.
Thank you very much sir I have E 500 I have the same issue thank you for helping
Happy to help 🤩🤩
Thanks! Helpful
Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
I have the same problem. A week old electric kickboard. I have driven 200km
Thank you!!
Thanks for the video very informative, Do you need to replace the tyres on the Unagi Scooter ?
I still got the original tires.
great vid! is there anyway to put some tubeless making it more rideable? its crazy hard
It’s crazy hard and no suspension.
I think is to little room for a “real” tire.
But I’m not sure. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video! Do you think it would be possible to replace the unagi front wheel with an 8 inch pneumatic tire?
No idea about that 🙈
It’s not much room left over the original wheel
Great video i was wondering if you sell replacement parts I crashed and broke the reflector cover on the left side
Hi. Sorry to hear that you had an accident.
You have to check with the Unagi support or check the web for parts.
Hope you are ok bro 👍🏻👍🏻
@@elmbystrafikskolaadventure7344 I am thanks
I want to install a seat on the Unagi. You have the foot board taken apart video to see if it can take any screw drilling? thanks
Unfortunately not. But I think I have seen som picture on some websites 🤔
Thanks i had the same exact problem.
No problem fixing it yourself?
Or did you send it in?
@@elmbystrafikskolaadventure7344 Nope i fixed it by my own! Thanks again
bro i love you
Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Could u pls do a video replacing batteries
Maybe when my battery start going bad.
nice video more videos of how to fix your unagi electricscooter
Thanks.
“Unfortunately” it’s nothing wrong with my scooter for now 🙈🙈🙈
But I would like to make it faster 🏎🏎🏎
Hi there,
I just bought one of these and I have a question if I may.
I notice a soft clicking noise that seems to come sometimes when I am steering. Do you experience this aswell, and is it 'normal'?
Many thanks 👌
Noting I have noticed.
Could it be the locking part for the folding bar?
@@elmbystrafikskolaadventure7344 think it might be, I've loosened it every so slightly anyway as the scooter was very stiff to fold 👌🛵
Thanks men!
👍🏻👍🏻
Good luck 🏆🏆
Does this method only fix the issue of turning or does it also fix the issue of the stem wobbling back and forth?
Do not really know what you mean by Steam Wobbling. but mine became very stable after I pulled the nut
Can you please do a video showing how to repair the charging port, and loose front wheel that isn’t aligned with handlebars and is veering to the side and rotates 360
Unfortunately I’m not having trouble with this stuff on mine. But if this symptoms emerges, then maybe 🤔
I have an Unagi E350 (old model with no wire attached to wheel). The front wheel is loose and tilts side to side. Any suggestions?
You probably need to change ball bearings?
Anybody know where to get replacement tires? I’m thinking about modding my tires and cutting every other rib on the tire to where only half of the rib in the center is still connected or drilling very small holes through the ribs to see if I can’t get a little love out of these tires. But I don’t want to do it until I have some replace just in case it sucks lol

@@elmbystrafikskolaadventure7344 sold out😩 thanks though,I appreciate it!!! I will keep an eye out!✌🏻🤙🏻
Dose anyone knoe WHERE THE Jard REST BUTTON IS .. my scooter Locked after leving it charge I can't find this button
I don’t know this button.
Hope you find it.
My unagi recently will not turn on. The charge box has green light but the scooter will not cut on.
That is no good.
Mine is working just fine.
Try to measure the voltage in the charger even if it turns green?
If you have still have guarantee send it in to the company you bought if from?
Good luck
I just seen a video where a few people had that problem, Ended up the plug that connects the handle bar to the Scooter Became disconnected. So you might want to check there. If that’s the case take yourself to zip ties and zip tie on each side of the plugs then when you plug it in take two more zip ties zip tying between the two zip ties making it so the plug can a longer come off on its own hopefully that made a little sense lol
Please respond!
Does doing this solve the lose handlebar stem issue as well?! Thanks in advance
Yes. The stem and the front wheel is connected
So it will solve loose stem wobble?
@@varunsimons4493
Yes if you’re lucky
But mine got loose again so I had to use chemical metal. To fill in the missing aluminum.
@@elmbystrafikskolaadventure7344 i am running into the same issue with it being loose after applying loctite after a while, can you explain how you did this with chemical metal?
@@jasonluo5129
Just build up the missing aluminum in the “hole” with chemical metal
This happen to me two weeks after having my scooter took in it got a new one and it happen two weeks later 🤦🏾♂️ then the pandemic hit and i lost my warranty. Thanks for the video but i dont have the tools or the space to this 😂😂 they might have to take the 115, thats how much it is now 😔
That sucks, hope you can fix it 👍🏻👍🏻
What if the entire handle came apart to where the wheel and the handle aren’t even connected to the unagi anymore
Well in that case it would suck if you were riding your unagi 🙈🙈🙈
Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I read there post from UNGAI its not under no foot rest NEED HELP
Can’t help 😢
Good luck
My problem is not this but the pivot bolt tolerance/fit.
I have noticed on mine now that I need a new front fork. The material is not tight enough now.
@Elmbys Trafikskola / Adventure Riding School find aluminum flashing sheet metal at home depot. Maybe a vent pipe roof plate or something and use junk scissors or sheet metal shears to make a shaft shim. It may take a few tries and size pieces. What you want is for it to be tight but about a quarter of an inch or so from all the way back on the shaft. Then use lock tight on threads and tighten down real good with a socket on extention. The sheet metal should fill the gap and wedge it all together. You will have to figure out the correct thickness of metal.
Ive had the same problem twice. The first time it ended up snapping the "king pin bolt" or what I should call it. Got a replacement unit and now I have the same problem again on this one. I got to keep the old one, so I will try to somehow fix it and sell it. Just gotta get some tools.
Ok, nice of them to let you keep the old one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wonder if they add some loctite on the bolt before the screw them together 🤔🤔
trank you very much
i send you a joint
Sir u didn't say what u put on the nut
Loctite 243 or 270
My scooter doesn't turn it's in the lock position how doni fix that
How do you mean?
Can’t you get the lock to open so you can fold upp the handlebar?
@@elmbystrafikskolaadventure7344 no I can't turn the scooter it's stuck straight after I put the handlebars upright so I'm unable to ride it
@@chosen7000
What’s it like that from new?
Can you steer when the handlebar is folded down?
@@elmbystrafikskolaadventure7344 no it just happened I had it folded down got ready to ride it and seen I could not turn the bars there stuck locked
@@chosen7000
Maybe it’s got some “dirt” in the connection?
I have never had this problem with mine.
That unagi is a killer that can kill you.
I have the unagi and the ninebot but il will be selling the unagi ASAP.
Ok, I have only had the Unagi yet.
