Wow , wow , wow !!! Absolutely stunning. I love how you painted a picture of madam Wong and tied everything together. Absolutely beautiful work. TFS 😊🌸💕
What a beautiful tribute to Madam Wong! This is just so gorgeous --- love all the details you have included. Thank you for sharing your awesome talent with us.
Fantastic idea. What a fantastic tribute to Madam Wong and her son. Love it, love it, love it. Love the Asian elements as well, so beautiful. It’s a bit busier in Malaysia these days than shown in that postcard isn’t it? Love the bird cage under the lace page. We have a street in Sydney, Angel place , that was decorated with lots of those bird cages, really atmospheric. I’ve been to Hong Kong and saw how birds were highly valued.
Hi Lisa, yes, much busier nowadays! I'm happy that there are some places where the original buildings are still preserved although I think the gov could do a much better job.. heh.
Luna, What a delightful project/tutorial.Since I live in Hong Kong, I can so identify with the journal of Mrs. Wong. I am inspired to create my own journal as I have many authentic ephemera in my paper collection. Thank you for the inspiration.
Wow!! This set of Madam Wong inspired creations is a masterpiece! It is stunning, gorgeous, and seems very authentic! I luv the colorful textiles, and the keepsake box, with it's delightful contents, is breathtaking.. So clever how you painted a mental picture by tying the story together with your skills and talent, to create such a realistic memory. Very impressive! I am saving this video in my favorites, after watching now one more time. TFS! xo
You definitely did M.Wong justice w/this stunning set. So beautiful and creative. Yes, I came into possession of a lovely photo album from late 1800's to early 1900's and wanted to know more about the people and to give it to a family member. I traced three generations and found out the last of the line died. Thank you for sharing.
You've really created a beautiful masterpiece, such a treasure to behold. I love everything about oriental design that always look so stunningly beautiful and you've just confirmed this for me. Thanks for sharing and for the care you took into bringing these lovelies to life.
Tania!!!! XD I want to say thank you for all the wonderful comments you left on so many of my videos. You are the sweetest! *BIG HUGS all the way from Malaysia*
Hands down this is one of the most incredible journals I have ever seen. The details, the theme, the little swatches of gorgeous fabric, it is just incredibly beautiful💕. You can feel how much love and respect you have for her and I’m just astounded by your talent. Thank-you so much for sharing your amazing talent, you can see why you are on the design team, as you have a style all of your own which is just so heart-felt 🙏😊🌷
The "Dearest Mummy" in that letter is soooo sweet! What a beautiful journal and concept, to pay tribute to letters found in a thrift store. Gorgeous work as always, Sheena :)
WOW!!!!! OMG this is sooo beautiful!!!! you have done an amazing job on this!! I love that you put so much with it to make the story come to life. thank you sooo much for sharing. you are always such an inspiration to so many of us!! XoXoX
This is amazing. You have recreated what could have been, based on his letters. Such beautiful accessories you have added. For your question about looking for them, Yes, I do feel that way, but to return the letters to the family. I feel the same way about pictures and documents. There is a facebook group that does this. It is called Family Treasures Found. Also Forgotten Faces, Forgotten Places. They strive to reunite them with descendants. Sometimes one family member throws out things or they are lost and others would love to have them. Sometimes the family allows people to use them for journals, etc. Sorry so long, just something I feel.
Oh my! I must check out these FB pages. I'm a sucker for old letters and wish I had more means of accessing them here like maybe a yard sale. And I wish my family kept old documents/letters from my great grandparents but I think plenty got lost or destroyed in floods back then. Thanks Gloria!
Omg I’ve been collecting some oriental things-fabric, stamps etc bcuz I plan on 1 day making a journal with it...can’t wait 2 c what urs looks like inside😁
Absolutely amazing love the theme and all your magical talent. I asked you before if you ever consider doing a step by step video of how you do a journal?
Hi Teresita! I would love to but my creative process takes so long. I could take a whole hour sometimes just to design 1 page haha! I'll try soon. Fingers crossed!
This is exquisite! I don't think I've used that word yet to describe a junk journal insert. Plus I've never seen one in this Asian style. I just love journals with a theme and a story. All the reds and rich colors and fabrics are so beautiful. You put all the ephemera together so well. No wonder you are on the design team. :D So inspiring. I don't understand how I didn't know about your youtube channel before now. lol.
Beautiful...yes, just beautiful and I love the story you made up, it is almost believable, as I had to remind myself it wasn't really real. Have a beautiful day and thank you for sharing this...again, just beautiful! :)
Omg i love this story journals. I only know you and amity bloom with this kind of story telling flip trough video's. Do you know more journal maker's who do this?
Hi Ella, I'm not quite sure now off the top of my head but I think if you search for a specific journal theme such as famous people or say a seamstress junk journal, perhaps you might find them. Fingers crossed! :)
Yes I would be inclined to try to find the family, but only to give them their family's letters back. If both people had passed on, the letters could be of some emotional value to them.
Once again you have made a beautiful story to go with your journal. I enjoyed it so very much. I would love to be pen pals with you. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks again for sharing. Kristi
