thank you some of us like the easiest way (calculators) but then you showed me that my head can be easier and faster than a calculator. Thank you again.
That's great Ongothar!...using a calculator is easier, but you can't use one if you want to take the CCNA exam...and this is for those that need and/or want to take their CCNA.
***** turn the Decimal into Binary, break it up into sections of 4, use the appropriate Bit values for HEX (i.e.: 8 4 2 1 | 8 4 2 1) and then add the #'s where the binary bits are on.
this is almost the same way my digital electronics lecturer taught me. It was so simple. I'm glad I found your video because I needed a quick recap on hexadecimal/ binary conversions!
I love this guy! The walls in my school are super thin in certain classrooms so it would be amazing for some other class to just keep hearing stuff like, "WE'VE ALSO GOT THE BINARY"! This video helped me a lot, thank you so much.
Thank you so much, i have been having trouble getting around the hex numbers since this semester started, i have a final in about 6 hours and i finally got this, life saver!
Hmm. I woke up in the morning, figured I had about 2 hours to do my work, this video dumbed half the work down into a simple 8 minutes, it was unbelievably easy. Thanks for this video.
I love you man Thank you!!! for teaching me this I'm a beginner and the other ways of doing hex to decimal took long time to do your way took me less then a min
it works vice versa - take a decimal, convert to binary, contain in 4 bit segments, each segment represents the RTL ones position, tens pos, hundred pos and so on. neat trick!
Your on the right track...don't derail! Knowledge is power...you DO need an education to get ahead in life. Don't take anyone's word at face value. Make sure you get the right information...ask questions...but don't over analyze things either.
thank you much for this video I really appreciate it right now I'm taking PLC and school and learning hexadecimal this video really helped out a lot thank you again for your time
Jesus! this stuff was so hard when my prof explained it. You made this so simple! laughing at myself right now! Never using a calc for this stuff again !
+The Networking Doctors I got an A in the exam and overall :) there were a few conversion questions in the paper so thanks for helping me get the grades !
Thanks. This video will really help me if I get a problem like this on the exam. Though honestly, I will probably skip it and come back to it so I don't spend too much time on it.
"I can't talk, i'm so crazy"
that's what you get if you hang around me long enough...or whatch my videos. LOL!!
I learn more from a 4 minute video than in an one hour lesson. -_-
Tell me about it. My CS teacher is like a broken ass record on repeat for an hour and a half
TheCrystalTitan how about three 😭😭😭
My cis teacher is retarted
THANKYOU I JUST UNDERSTOOD WITHIN 5 SECONDS COMPARED TO AN HOUR IN A GODDAMN LECTURE!
Need more instructors like this guy. Easy to follow and he practically drills it into your head. Thanks for the tip!
I think I love you! Hex to decimal and we get binary in the process all while not having to use a calculator.
Subscribed.

TH-cam is a better teacher than most courses that I spend an absurd amount of money to take.
+Lucas M ...Thanks Lucas!
In case this wasn't clear - you can't use calculator in a 'prometric' centre. Really cool though, thanks.
That’s exactly why I made this video eons ago...because calculators are prohibited when taking a test 😎

The Networking Doctors one more
THANK YOU!!!!
Our teacher lets us use a calculator but converting a hex to decimal is such an immense pain, and with so much room for error.
Thanks Andy!...but you won't be able to use a calculator in a certification exam.
THANK YOUUUUU!!! Finally someone who explains all three (hex, decimal, binary) conversion at once!
+True Blue Motorsport ...thanks True Blue!
I’m learning this for the first time.
My mind is blown.
Great job
this is almost the same way my digital electronics lecturer taught me. It was so simple. I'm glad I found your video because I needed a quick recap on hexadecimal/ binary conversions!
This is fantastic! I can't believe our Instructors at ITT aren't shwoing us this method. Thank you so much!
Simply awesome. You are the best. Thank you sir.
I love the way you teach. 10/10 content
Brother. You’re a great teacher and you’re awesome for your annoyance towards what you saw 😄 thumbs up 👍🏽

Wow this is really the easiest way of converting. Thank you for sharing this.
This is how I was just taught, and converting to binary first is THE way to go. Gives you everything you need. Great video. Thanks :)
+bluestudio67 ...you're welcome 😊
Your voice gives a such motivation to the students. Well done from a professor thumbs up

I can't believe how easy that was. Your explanation is really good, thanks!.
I really like how he replies to comments from various years
I know right
😊
Great video. Because most colleges allow calculators most people would work it out using one but this way is so simple. Thank you
Fantastic help. My teacher explained this terribly. He used the long divisional method which was confusing. Thanks a lot
Yea you taught this better than a whole semester of math class. Thank you soooo much!
Thanks Sarah!...quick and to the point is how I like to teach and am very glad I was able to help you. ;)
got 96% on my midterm thanks to you!!!!
Awesome!
Thanks for showing ,these few minutes have been of huge benefit for me.

Hope you passed!
Just started doing this stuff at college, this video helped a lot! Thanks.

I know this video is almost 8 years old now but it seriously helped me.
Thanks for heading right to the point and keeping it straightforward!
Gotta another subscriber!

Well, I passed my digital test at work. Thanks entirely to you.
12 years later from the upload of the video and you're the only person that made me understand this lol

Great! your infromation fixed both my understanding and the math error.Thank you!
Thanks. Helped very much! Just had this as a question on a chapter test and didn't answer. Now i know how it works.
Thanks for this Laz, learned this stuff in 1 night thanks to you :)
It means a lot to me when someone expresses their appreciation of what I do here. Best of luck! ;)
¡Muy bueno! Great explanation of hex conversion.
Dude that is immense!!! Thankyou so much

true facts. learned this my first class in Digital Logics Design.
mind blown!
good stuff!
Thank you!
straight to the point teaching! ! thanks
@Andrew Mojica ...that is an identifier that tells you that it is a hex number.
wow I love how that second method breaks it down into peices and all you need to remember are 8 4 2 and 1. :D
Jesus! this stuff was so hard when my prof explained it. You made this so simple! laughing at myself right now! Never using a calc for this stuff again !

I'm studying computer engineering and I swear this guy has taught me more than my actual professors
Man u are the godfather of everything including craziness :)
I laughed when he shouted, "hey we also got its binary" with a straight face.
@rashidsk Thanks for your comment!...it's nice to get a pat in the back once in a while.
YOU MY SIR ARE A GENIOUS!
Thank you for this. I understood the 16 base and knew the binary etc but confused on the right math to get decimal. Thank you!
@Scorxcho Your not the only one! A lot of people have the same problem...but I will put out videos to explain it in a more detailed fashion.
Very very good video, very easy to understand! Thank you!
Thanks Rolf!
