Just don´t be scared. Most Bolivian dances represent different periods of time of Bolivian culture and history. The dance you're watching is called "negritos or tundiqui" which represents times of slavery of African people in Bolivia. In the past the fraternidades or group of dancers used to show the cruelest episodes of slavery; black people with chains and etc. behind them there were the musicians playing cheering up songs. Nowadays, after the establishment of the law against racism and discrimination, the scenes that used to represent mistreatment and violence against African slaves have been omitted since 2018 because it used to hurt the sensibility of Afrobolivian comunity.
