The boat aside for a mo', it's quite something to see how comprehensive this review is, despite being rushed by circumstances. Dan, as a reviewer you are a marine X-ray machine. No detail seems missed, and you fold in the needs & wants of the potential buyer as well. A bit too early for France tho', if memory serves. As that blue blazer proves.
Hola. Gracias por tus pruebas de mar con los barcos. Te conocí hace poco en el salón náutico de Palma de Mallorca. Fue un placer conocerte personalmente. Espero que puedas venir más veces a hacer pruebas de mar con los barcos en Mallorca. Hello. Thank you for your sea trials with the boats. I met you recently at the Palma de Mallorca boat show. It was a pleasure to meet you in person. I hope you can come more times to do sea trials with the boats in Mallorca.
Great video Dan, would love to see an in-depth of outboard vs inboard. I’m a lifelong outboard person so am biased but do love a big swim platform so am thinking of switching - interested in your views! From a cold England looking forward to some fairer weather soon we hope
Great video. I’m an avid sailor, and if I ever did 20 knots my wife would take my head clean off. We fantasize about buying a trawler one day to do inland canals and lakes here in the northeastern US. One could spend years of their lives in just NY and never see the same port village twice.
Haha classic I totally understand! Last year I explored Maine just north of New York and couldn't believe how many waterways you guys have up there! Would be so much fun to cruise around and explore. Agree you could spend multiple summers and keep discovering new places. You're very lucky to have so much choice up there for boating.
The Prestige Yachts are not on my radar for the time being so you won't see them on here. I have tested and driven quite a few of them privately though so I know them well.
I had high hopes for the DB 37 but alas as a tall guy my head bonked the T-top in several places. The helm position was also uncomfortable for me. I find the looks a bit slabsided but the interior has much better accommodations than my Boston Whaler 350 Realm. Those Yammies are so noisy and the boat seems underpowered with them. It should be able to cruise at close to 30 knots at 4000 rpm. Thanks for a fine tour.
Check out the Schaefer V44 that has you big blokes in mind a lot more at the helm and moving around the boat. Pricing because it's built in Brazil is also closer to many of the European boats that are a lot smaller FYI. The Saxdor 400GTO could also be an option but the aft cabin might be too small for you (forward cabin fine).
So Ian I got my first look at a Navan in Palma this week and must say the thing looks pretty good. Some clever ideas on usage of the space and the build quality appears to be good too. I'm getting my first drive in Australia which i'm happy about because the sea here in Mallorca is generally flat as a pancake so not exactly challenging.
Thankyou, it's closer to Axopar/Saxdor so built for mass market production. But also many differences. I have tested the new Fjord 39XL this week in Mallorca and doing the Saxdor 400 on Sunday in Singapore and Nimbus W11 in a few weeks in Australia. Happy to review and give feedback on your choices on Patreon www.patreon.com/dansboatlife
Thanks! I haven't had any opportunities to get on one yet. The best door opener is when you guys reach out to your dealers/factory to ask that I test their boats. When they know their customers are watching it makes it so much easier for me to rock up and ask to borrow their boats lol I have 20+yrs experience with Sea Ray's and would absolutely love an opportunity to try the SLX400. It's meeting a similar demand to this DB37 in some ways.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife I'll have a chat to my dealer in Sydney and also chat to Searay at Fort Lauderdale boat show later in the year re getting a door opened for you.
G'day Scott, so I don't think that's their aim to be fair. If you're coming from a Prestige (also no huge rub rail) or a sailing yacht I think this will make sense for guys looking to entertain in real comfort. This is what it does very, very well in sub tropical or warm climates.
It's my new style..? The Brazilian girls told me to lose the short shorts so I replaced with this... haha it was just too cold for me to go barefoot so I had to don the booties

The bow berth, i love the side bed access.
Great tour as always.
I hope you can do a sea trial of the FIM 440 Regina. With outboard engines. To compare it with the Jeanneau DB 43 outboard.
Love your videos! It'd be great to see your test drive and features videos of the new Prestige F4, and how it relates to other 50' yachts :)

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLifeIf you are near Dubrovnik, Croatia, this summer and would like to experience a Prestige F4, let me know :)
Hermoso barco, estás haciendo un gran trabajo Dan, me encanta tu estilo de video, imágenes, color, edición, perfecto.
Thanks Zacharina I appreciate the feedback. I saw some amazing scenery and real estate in Brazil so you have an amazing country!
Thanks for the share Dan.
Love it - it cracks me up when you say “super bougie” 😂 Thanks for another great video Dan
Someone commented that it has a different meaning in America? I mean it's fancy when I say that...

Hi Dan, love the job your doing , will be looking out for that Navan review.
Good video mate what’s the damage to one’s wallet please
Nice tour and nce boat---except the slanted windshield. it automatically gets disqualified.
Hi Dan, Always great vids. Re Quality of build & finish where would it fit Vs Axopar, Saxdor and at upper end Nimbus,Fjord?

Hey Dan
From Sydney. Love your videos mate so well done! 😃
Will you ever sea trial a SeaRay SLX 400? I'd love to see your take on that boat.

Beamy looking ‘37.
Hi Dan. Well..... it's no oil painting.....is it? Did you say it has no rub rail? Are they mad?.... well I suppose they are French..... cheers S 😂

be much more quiet with the volvo d4 320's
Yes good point I forgot to mention that! A Volvo inboard version just arrived in Sydney I believe.
Pray tell Daniel, what the fuck do you have on your feet ? Curling covers from the CWA perhaps ?

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Love your work, Dan. Keep it up Brother
Best boat under 40 feet might be the 38 foot regal commodore
