Thank you for posting this. I grew up in London and have recently moved to a small village in Ireland and sometimes I miss this kind of madness from London. I know both Old Kent road from an ex girlfriend and I am from Islington so know Stokey very well. This (especially that sunset shot) was very heart warming. Again thank you.
For years potatoes studded with pins similar to the manner of the Hellraiser head have appeared on top of bus shelters in North north-east London. Back in 1986-7 a friend of mine was on the set of Hellraiser, I recall him telling me about one of the scenes.
Former Stoke Newington inhabitant here. Every noun in this video gave me a shiver of the familiarity of night shift night bus home. This is really great stuff, keep it up.
You got me in with Last Action Hero, but here again, another great video. Love the editing, narration and especially the music.. Keep it up mate, love to see more in the future. Got a new fan here. Cheers.

Really cool video, way diffrent from the fast paced, attention seeking most popular videos of youtube. Also I happen to love the first Hellraiser (the sequels not that much). Great stuff!
I have no idea how this appeared in my feed, and when it started I thought it was going to be an avant-gard art and/or dry humour video. But it wasn't, and it was fascinating.
"Impious deities gathered at the Bricklayer's Arms," what a lyrical turn of phrase. I wish I had a garage band that does punk covers of Backstreet Boys songs that I could call Impious Deities.
Wow,that's fascinating, never heard of this before.I love all of Clive Barker's work, both his films and books.Very odd story, totally enjoyed your video, all the best Rick.
Hellraiser is a great film. I always felt it was more of a British film than an American one. From its London setting to its horrorness. I never noticed at the time it American dubbing It was until I watched Hellbound that I questioned why is there an American copper investigating a murder in the UK. I understand why Hellraiser has got this surreal American/UK vibe. As for the random video tapes on top of the bus stop make Hellraiser like The Ring aka Ringu vibe with the 21st century audience.
@@ElevenYearz overall why I feel the first Hellraiser film is a London setting film was when Larry (Andrew Robinson) say they moved to Julia's (Claire Higgins) turf. Julia has a English accent no American dubbing a plain posh accent. When a friend of mine said the film is set in America after watching Hellraiser 2 I always felt it was an mistake. The whole thing felt like it was changed at post production.
Maybe for years the cenobites have been looking in our world. All it takes is someone to put the cube in the centre to unleash them, and then we’re screwed.
I love this, its not a mystery , its a tradition from some cool people to indicate many things. One of them being, saying "we were here". Its a kin to throwing a pair of sneakers with inter tied laces over the electric lines. So cool and nostalgic to see this.

@ElevenYearz na! That's codswallop. This was the first one I've seen that you've created. I loved it, and it was a good reason to create. There is no ridiculousness in it. He's just winding you up. Pay no attention. Good job on this! 👏
@ElevenYearz na. I think it's a good video and well done. It's a really interesting thing. I love the Hellraiser series. Even the goofy versions. I had no idea about this, and some people still might not. Another thing right is that it's not the type of thing that occurs all the time. I'm really fond of things like this and videos letting people in on it.
All I can say is, they were clearly a fan of hell raiser as they are sensible enough to know you don't go past the fourth movie... it's a all straight to VHS trash from there
Somone has probably started it to remember someone on a anniversary each year, a brother died or someones husband and why met at the bus stop. Then everyone seen it on twitter and continued it.
Keep doing videos like this, *not just about Hellraiser, obviously. Keep doing videos where you're being honest, and keep being genuine. You do that and you'll be extremely successful. It's something thats become rare on TH-cam. People get successful and the realness and magic disappears. A shame.
You'd think it would be a bus stop in Dollis Hill really 😂 I remember it coming out, went to the pub at Production Village and they had the uncle animatronic, used to scuttle across the floor unexpectedly and make everyone scream! If this carries on long enough there will be a whole Blockbusters up there
I do like the dreamy atmosphere you create in your videos (I was just cleaning out my subscription list, unsubscribing from channels I definitely wouldn’t watch and I stumbled on your channel that I forgot I subscribed to a while back and I’m glad you’ve made some recent videos). I do think even though people might do things for a laugh or prank I believe something is working it’s way through them and grows into this world. The film hellraiser came from someone’s imagination and spread through pop culture and enticed someone to start a ritual. You might be aware of something called active imagination a phrase coined by Car Jung when he was creating his red book. Active imagination is like entering a portal within and I guess who ever imagined Hell raiser was entering a portal (Becca Tarnas did a fascinating video called the red book and the red book, she presents the similar over lays of both Jung’s red book and the red book written by Tolkien, she points out this strange phenomena of the imagination).
