I went crazy and got every thing for the arithmetic 1 for parent and child 😂 I even have the Saxon manipulative kit as well. It doesn’t hurt to have those visuals..
Angie, this was so great! I was leaning towards Abeka Arithmetic 1 but I was confused by all the different items and if I needed them all or not. Seriously, perfect timing for this video and, as always, very in-depth, thorough, and concise review. Do you buy right from Abeka or Rainbow Resource or another preferred retailer?
Hi What will you prefer for a first time homeschooler ?! I went down a rabbit hole and I’m finally set on two . sonlight kindergarten full curriculum or just doing abeka kinder curriculum ( the same as this review) I’m nervous if I just focus on math and reading what do I do next year for first grade for sonlight) for example the history /bible and literature if I don’t focus on that this kinder year what level would I get for first grade ( next year) ? Thank you !!
Hi! Just focusing on math and reading for kinder would be a wonderful plan - you could come in at 1st grade with HBL-A or HBL-K ... either would be great for those ages and would set you up for future levels :)
We're just finishing up grade 1 math! We loved it! I keep trying to change her to a different math (with shorter videos) but she loves Abeka haha

Are you liking abeka math more than Saxon?
Yes, I am still liking it more ... we will see once we officially jump into Grade 1. We are finishing out the rest of K5 first.
