This video is part 2 of my trip to Alaska! We were dying to see the northern lights while we were there and we got to see Matanuska Glacier, which was my FAVORITE part of Alaska!

I was an international flight attendant for Pan Am and Delta for thirty-eight and a half years. We used to see the northern lights frequently when flying to Europe in the winter. I still remember one night seeing them from the port window in the cockpit over the captain's shoulder, and they covered the entire sky. I just took them for granted. I never realized they were such a big deal. Looking back on it, now that I am an elderly woman, I realize how lucky I was.

I had applied to be a flight attendant when I was 18. They told me to try back after I turned 21 but by then I had a new job that I wanted to keep. God bless you and Sydney. I hope you are working again soon.

Lol, Sydney not realizing she was trying to go up the down escalator is like me after a long day of work, not really paying attention to anything. So glad we got to see part 2! Can't wait to see where your next adventure will be to, I'd recommend either, Colorado, Utah, or Florida.

I live in Edmonton, we see the northern lights from within the city quite frequently. More in Winter obviously.
We did he Matanuska Glacier hike as well. It was fun.
It's unfortunate you guys didn't get to see the elusive Northern Lights from the ground. They only pop up when the right condition are on the atmosphere. beautiful scenery.

I am a mountaineer. Glaciers are EXTREMELY hazardous places. The crevasses Kacey was showing were not too dangerous, often they can be 50 - 300 feet deep, often are not visible due to snow cover, and if you go fall down one, rescue is difficult, may be long in arriving, and the chances of success are slim. Death by freezing or injury is slow, and you could be wedged tight upside down alone in the darkness of its depths. It surprises me the Gov't of Alaska allows or encourages people to set foot on this or any glacier in the state.

Yes she does have beautiful eyes. Not to argue but all of us need to protect our eyes from UVB and UVA rays. I didn't know this but cataracts can start when you are young. The eye doctor told me we need sunglasses with UVA and UVB protection. I imagine that is especially true down here where these ladies and myself live. She does have beautiful eyes. I always wanted blue eyes.
@Cheryl West Yasssss protect those eyes! You only get one set- treat them with respect.
@CherylWest. Great advice. I never use to wear sunglasses except at the beach. 7 yrs ago I had cataract surgery on both eyes. No one in my family ever had cataracts. I visited several surgeons b4 I made my choice and all of them told me the same thing. I damaged my eyes by not wearing sunglasses. Now I wear them any time I’m outside. I also got my wife to wear blue light glasses bc she works on the computer 7+ hrs a day. We all need to protect our eyes. I was lucky that they caught mine early. If u r not wearing sunglasses outside, heed Cheryl’s warning. Wear sunglasses!
