What some people in the comments fail to grasp is that the market for sim racing has never been more rich in content. We have many high quality consumer simulators available and fighting for your time and money, so just having a "realistic" driving simulator isn't enough. Those who are upset about the pricing for the DLC's and subscription model have every right to be - S397 is evidently trying to target the iracing demographic of players with their online multiplayer system - the private servers that they've implemented recently are only available through paid hosted servers, and S397 removed the ability to host your own dedicated server like you could in rfactor2. The arguments saying S397 is justified in their pricing model because they need to make money undermines the crux of the issue, which is that S397 chose to make an online focused esports-like racing service in a market that is fiercely competitive, and people will not easily accept subscriptions or season passes for a game that is new and unproven in the long term.

I understand that they are a strugling studio and they need the money to survive but I don't think this is the way. I even think this will hurt their sales. I know the early acces price is not what you normally pay for a full game but it is still very much lacking content at the price point compared to other sims available. I know people keep telling me how awesome it is to drive and I agree that it feels nice when it works.. the problem that it does not work a lot of the time. I have a minimum of 2 crashes everytime I start the game before I can finally get in a race.

I honestly don’t get why people are happy to pay for DLC when a game is 1.0 but not when a dev team say it’s EA. Technically AMS2 was in EA for 4.5 years until 1.6 came out and folks happily bought DLC. LMU could easily say right now the game is 1.0 and I think they will turn it to 1.0 when the fourth pack releases as a way of celebrating all content being available. Support your devs, stop making up ridiculous rules about DLC and enjoy! If steam allow it, why are folks making up weird rules and expectations about DLC?
It's a (mis)prioritisation issue / concern - some consumers don't like to financially support additional content when they've already paid to support and want to play the main product which remains incomplete and is being ignored. This problem is exacerbated when you factor in that people likely bought into rF2 and it's endurance content, only for that project to be abandoned but then repackaged by the same devs and using the same engine, just to cash in on it being a new title so that they avoid going bust. I kinda get how their survival instincts came up with this plan, but because they're screwing over both loyal rF2 fans and even LMU fans that simply want a finished base game, their cash-before-morals approach doesn't sit well with a lot of people, including myself. If you still don't understand it - how would you like it if you bought a prototype car but it was mechanically incomplete / unsound, and when you took it back to the manufacturer to get it fixed they instead spent all their time and focus adding optional extras? Anyone in their right mind would be: WTF you doing? Fix the damn car first. Also, you're way off the mark with AMS2's EA period - that started on March 31st 2020 and came out of EA with V1.0 on June 30th 2020. I don't have LMU mainly because of their immoral practices, but from what I've gathered online, LMU is not "easily" complete / V1.0 material yet by a considerable margin.

Activating the Free DLC is a steam thing not left over RF2 thing
you sure? I never had to activate any free or paid DLC in any other game, besides rf2
@@randomcallsignSCS does the same with its truck simulators, all new trucks that are added to the game are free DLC on steam.
RF2 uses the Item Store for content and LMU uses Steam DLC items. Maybe it's because we add it as DLC rather than just adding it into the game as base content
no new big features, just charging for paid “mods”, same shit that s397 has been doing since 2016
I don't understand why they don't use the real sounds from the real cars ? the graphics are great but the sound is not there for the cars.
Inside the car, outside or both?
"Oh it's a niche product" "It's just the price of EQUIVALENT ITEM OF FOOD" "An actual race car is much more expensive" "Just buy product and get excited for next product if you don't buy the product there won't be next product I need next product I can afford so many next products why can't you afford next product"
I hate the feel in the wheel, which is nothing.
seems to be an issue with the gt3 cars.. hopefully they can sort it.. apparently you also wanna max out the ffb in lmu then set the NMs you want in the driver as oppose to the other way round which is the normal advice for most sims
I’ll pay for an early access game but I refuse to pay extra for DLC or services until the game is out of an early access state.

its $84 a year! i know you did the lazy edit but you should go back and redo the audio but i was just listening to the video and not watching it. i only knew you was wrong because i have watched other videos that got it right with the sub pricing.
7:39 Are you in Mexico?
si, ese
How big is your bank account? That will solve all this "early access problems" They have to make money to keep going. You must have forgot how bugged AC was when it came out. LMU is great by comparison.
DLC during early access is a no buy for me
Fantastic game
i notice the FFB center problem too
same. i think it may be related to camber/tires
@@1Landyacht weird feeling in the center.feels like a new developer trying to make a simulator.Anyways
Dave’s fault
always
I see they still have't implemented Anti Aliasing that actually looks half decent. Jaggies and shimmering everywhere. Eww
Only if you have a bad pc, no issue on high end pc.
will definetly wait with buying dlcs till game is fully released, tested the mclaren for like 30min, was a bit underwhelmed, but have to try a bit longer for a final thought
WHY are you not making a video about iRacing's HEIST on their player base, stealing USD12.00 from them, to put out a 499P that is worthy of FORZA... lololol... where is the OUTRAGE?!?!?! AND, it should be mentioned, the GTP, even before this update, had turning speeds +30KM/h above real life in high speed corners ... lololol...
Those are NOT CROOKS... selling GTPs and LMH at USD12.00 a pop, without proper hybrid, completely unrealistic characteristics... NO, those are great people, those deserve all this .... SILENCE...
Your 'Moral High Horse' is shorter than a PONY.
MSG this, MSG that, .... get a F clue. There are incompetent people and crooks everywhere in business and MSG started with a good dose of both, but get a clue man...
So iRacing wanted to do the LeMans24h and the 'community' really wants it to be the 'official sim' for Le Mans... get them to start with the SIM part and stop fooling their servant client base with lies AND intimidation practices on content creators who criticise iRacing...
Freaking fools, making the bidding of a monopoly... lolol...
Any f.... video about LMU has a negative tinge or tone. Any f.... video about any other sim, it's all rosy.... DON'T you freaking understand that your thirst for limelight, propagating negativity on LMU is costing brilliant people their jobs?
That's it's putting at risk the development of the best pure simracing experience on the market. HANDS down?
If the most lukewarm valid criticism puts a company at risk, then the problem isn't the criticism.
Remember the days of paying 49.99 for a game...and it was done. Now you pay 44.99....then 14.99...then 14.99...then 4.99. Then they see if ya wanna pay 24.99 a year too keep playing with new stuff. Yeah its cool game can stay up to date and yadda yadda. I guess I just miss the simple old days. You bought a game and it was done, and it worked! Cause it was TESTED! lol
Its a subscription where you have to pay a year upfront. They are pretty desperate.financially. No.self-hosted servers no buy for me.
Really curious how much potential customers they lost with the dlc in early acces. I know 5 people alone (including me)that will not buy this game before a deep deep sale because of that.
