- Lake Mburo National Park is a protected area located in western Uganda. It covers an area of about 370 square kilometers and is home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and over 300 species of birds. The park is also famous for its scenic landscapes, featuring rolling hills, swamps, and Lake Mburo, after which it is named.
The park is managed in partnership with the local communities who reside in its vicinity, with the aim of promoting conservation while providing livelihood opportunities for the locals. The park is an important eco-tourism destination and attracts thousands of visitors every year who come to enjoy its natural beauty and diverse wildlife.
Lake Mburo National Park also serves as an important research and educational center, providing valuable insights into the ecology and conservation of the wildlife and ecosystems found within the park.
