Nice to see some Father Ted references today of all days, 19th July: Ice Age ended! Same as Zarak never played any of the time splitters games and they look pretty solid. Can tell it’s made by the same people that did Goldeneye, some very similar mechanics and visuals. Fun video, thanks Classic!
🤣 yeah I saw that on twitter right now. Complete coincidence. Used to watch father ted a lot. Yeah they are very similar to goldeneye in terms of controls and how missions are structured. It is a great game to play. Lots of odd and crazy characters and game modes. Glad you enjoyed it without having played the games
Loved the sped up Gladiator theme tune. Never played any of the Timesplitters games but from what i have seen of them, they don't seem to be easy games hence those nightmarish challenges u highlighted. Like with the sniper rifle which is not the easiest weapon to use at the best of times.
Yeah tried to get a few references in. They are fun games but are more products of their time, Hard to get into for new players. But yeah i would mostly end up completing the story on easy mode, but would stick to mostly just playing for fun in the arcade mode. The sniper rifle is useless, thankfully most weapons do auto aim.
I got to a point around 8 years ago where I was finally able to 100% percent this game and get platinum in all but 2 of the arcade league and challenges. That being said, I remember Golem Guru being absolutely hellish to get gold on back in the day. Also, all of the assault missions are pretty difficult.
Nice Threads is much less painful on the PS4 when using the Rewind feature. Even though you'll still need to get through the sections, it will at least save a lot of time. The first section is easier if you use a laser gun shield. After I finished the level I was surprised and lucky to get gold, and I don't think I'm likely to try for platinum anytime soon, too painful

It's hard to suggest which one to play as they can be hard to play as the controls haven't aged amazingly. I would say skip the first game and either play this one or future perfect. I am hoping there is a remake coming at some point, there has been rumours for a while. Also thank you
Surprisingly in can't handle this I actually found my unarmed punches to be more effective then the pistols. Those pistols just don't do any damage. I also think any of the assault challenges would be in the top 10 for me. The times are super tight for gold, the enemies outnumber you, and unless you have luck you'll be sent back to spawn again and again since you can't kill the enemies fast enough to get to the objectives.
There's a super easy technique if you go to the front entrance of the club (where you enter on Chicago story mission) and pick up dual Tommy's you can funnel them down the corridor. Hardest part is getting there without being killed but once you're in that spot you're cruising!
Nice threads made me wanna put my face into a desk. Monkey madness and other precision challenges were made so much easier with mouse injector for emulator though xd, but that's not the original way to play so eh (even though I can't go back to controller thanks to that).
Shoot man I done beat the story mode about 6 different times on hard each platform then they go released time splitters for PlayStation 5 so I gotta 100% do it all over again love my life 🤦🏽♂️ sarcasm btw😂
Great game shame its kind of been lost to the annals of time, as even though they are frustrating at times, the challenge mode was a hell of a lot of fun... If only they re-released it for the pc with mouse and keyboard control..maybe not as much brand recognition as current titles but still feel modern gen gamers are missing out
Yeah there was a lot of rumours about a remaster or a new timesplitters game but that has since gone quiet. It is such a great game. Even if the controls are a bit awkward.
If you have a PS5 or I think, a PS4, Timesplitters 2 and Timesplitters future are now available to download/stream on the PlayStation store… I’ve been re-playing both non-stop these past few weeks…
Bags of fun was hard until you get the armor and speed pickups down I managed to get to 10 Bags captured when you only need 9 for a platinum I believe and you can’t let the enemy team score
That brick league challenge is easy even when the brick sucks because of the Crypt Zombie AI is pretty bad. Can't Handle This is shockingly easy because all you have to do is camp with the dual-wielded Thompsons. The R-109 beta league is a joke too. I commend you for taking the time to choose the 5 hardest league/challenge but I can scratch up 3 league/challenge that replace those challenges that I mentioned from the video.
That's understandable as different people will have different abilities and will find some challenges easier than others might find them. These were the ones that i had the most trouble with. I could have also added bags of fun which most people suggest is one of the hardest. But i didn't personally have much trouble with. Also possibly fighting the stone golem in the site map. This list is also based on what i struggled with when i was first playing the game, before i could look up guides. A lot of challenges have those loop holes that do make them easier.

Just found recently, the turrets in Nice Treads can be shielded against with the red gun secondary fire
I managed to get a silver the assault map you put at number 1 and oh my days the rage. Going for the platinum trophy now that arcade mission is done
