The original album recording might be better as a piece of music, but this version of the song's much funnier. I can't get enough of seeing Pippin getting tripped!
This is my fave number to perform in the show by far ! I just think it’s so much fun #fuckmyhips So glad you appreciate it as much as I do x Love from aus pippin
I’m doing this show for my high school and im scared of the choreo especially the part when ensemble has their hands on the floor and they’re like twerking im so scared of doing it lol
Just my opinion, Terrance was fantastic for Charlemagne, but Gabriel (I think that was his name?) who played as Mr. Wormwood in "Matilda the Musical" deserved the tony. Glad he won.
He brought so much life and personality to this role while adding the typical Terrance Mann sense of humor I admire more than life itself he is my literal hero he totally got robbed of his tony
All I can say is I loved performing this in the ensemble of pippin (aus) My hips and my soul don’t lie this shit is hard but I would do it over and over x
Cool but i really wish they stayed zoomed out so you could see the soldiers better, their coordination is super impressive and disappointing we cant see it here
Very funny stuff. It's only missing the bit from the original Fosse version when Charlemagne asks for the map one of the players dances up to the front, places the map and then dances back to their seat.
im in the ensemble of this show at my school and in this song im holding the map and when the puppets come up i cannot keep a straight face. it’s too funny. especially during “kill the blues!” i can’t laugh during the show or else im gonna have a big problem edit: we also rehearsed the whole song and since we only have a helmet for pippin yet, we had to put a bag on his head instead. it was probably one of the funniest things i have ever seen in my life. especially when he says “im sorry father.” i don’t know why but that part stuck out to me the most but as a whole it was unbelievably hilarious.

I will NEVER stop loving the choreography for this song, it's SO MUCH FUN

"I'm sorry father...."
"I don't wanna hear it" XD
"Now time is short, and I've got to speed the whole damn thing up!"
“Listen to me men as I indever to explain what separates a chalenton from a Charlemagne”

Terrance Mann is just the best!
Gosh I loved that play I want to see it again
Am I the only one who thinks Terrence Mann got robbed of a Tony with this role?
me too

1:43 I can see Sarge from Red vs Blue nodding in approval at this.
What a guy.

i can see a little inspiration from the Pirates of Penzance here.
I just watched the original.... and now i see how many of the dance moves were reused
Yes, which is wonderful.
It's a fantastic nod to the show's legacy

I like the original cast recording better
How Putin plans battles.
Really not enjoying that Pippin - Terrence and Patina rock though!
