      What is the voltage rating for these signals.

      @@CSXtrackworker they will operate on. 8-18 vac or DC but recommend 18vac track power or less!

      @@KandRCustomModels Thanks for the info. So basically they aren't like Atlas track signals where you need the voltage reducer or else you will fry the lights if it's higher than 4 volts.

    Nice video. I'm trying to catch up on all the O gauge videos on TH-cam. Those signals are excellent looking. To keep them prototypical, put the number boards on all of the intermediate signals. Without them, it denotes an absolute signal. Also, the advance signal coming into the cp or interlocking needs two signal heads if there will be the ability to cross over in that direction. I'm sure that you probably know this already, but some other viewers may not.

    The 3 color target signals are very popular on my local commuter railroad NJ Transit. They are still made today for them

    Very nice block signals, Jason! I think you know more about wiring than you admit, but you contacted some great veteran modelers to make sure you get a smooth run. It'll be a real treat to see them all set up and operating!

    I live in New England and these are the most common signals used. They are still installed brand new for replacements only difference is it’s an Led signal.

    These are awesome, some parts of Australia use very similar signals however none are available for model scale.

    Did you know that when a train passes a signal and the signal goes from green to red or whatever the aspect is. Railroaders call it knocking down the signal

    Im curious how these compare to Atlas O signals 😀
    Edit: Wrote this before you talked price. Was planning on continuing with Atlas O but for almost $90 a signal, its a bit costly. Will absolutely give one of the type G a try!!!

      Atlas certainly makes nice signals. I really wanted some dual signal heads and currently, Atlas does not make them in O-scale. And as you mentioned, the prices of K&R signals are hard to beat.

    Of course absolute signals guarding switches or whole interlockings for that matter would not have number plates on them as is the US railroading standard

    They look great, and I love the hand-made aspect too. Pricing is great too. Just wondering about the yellow light flicker though. Is that due to you isolated rail being to short, a feedback issue, or something else?

      Its from dirty wheels not making the connection between outside rails. I have a solution coming that I will show in a future video.

      @@waynebright6452 When I saw that signal flickering, the first thing I thought of was those Lionel autoracks. Despite their scale length, they have a reputation for being significantly lighter than they should be.

    Jason Thank you for your segment on the Review about your new Track Signal. What I would like to know first of all is The Locomotives in your Inventory will you program the Consist or (The Load) to stop and go at each Block Signal or will the block signal stop the train when it comes up to the signal?
    Like a Automobile stopping at a red light and waiting for the signal to turn Green to proceed on through. Am I Right?

      I won't have the layout programmed quite that sophisticated haha. But the signals will still operate prototypically.

    Thanks for the great videos! I have an off topic question….which car is taller, auto carrier or double stack? I’m working on my second level and I want to make sure I’ll have clearance. TIA

      The Atlas intermodal double stacks are a bit taller than the auto racks. However, MTH double stacks are even taller! I don't run those on my layout though.

    Jason signals look awesome. I am switching from old Lionel tracks to atlas tracks now. But having hard time finding cork road bed. Do you have a source. Thank you.

    Those are real nice? Your layout era1995 to 2015 you are shooting for. Just curious? It’s 2021 at present. Has there been a large change in real trains the last 6 years?

    How do you isolate track

      Insulation rail joiners or cut the rail. Many videos on TH-cam on how to isolate track sections.

      I'd say they're a pretty good alternative. Especially for the price. I would have liked to have bought a few Custom Signals before they closed.

    Why do they flicker when they first turn red & when your cars are almost leaving the last isolated block section? Such as at 15:21, 14:24, 13:02, and 14:05.

      Poor connectivity with the wheels and isolated rails. I have a solution for it but I'm waiting on the sensor/relay to arrive.

      @@TeslaFSDBetaVideos No. The Atlas snap locks have nothing to do with the flickering. It’s purely a result of poor connectivity from the wheels. As I said, I have a solution for it but I’m waiting for the item to arrive.

      @@carlpeduzzi3780 No. I will splice in a Z stuff relay which will make the changes smooth and eliminate flicker.

      I have seen other videos about them. They do offer ground signals/darf signals as well.

    Have you did a video yet of how you wired your signals with the atlas switch? I have the atlas switches and I have the signals you recommended, just need to know how to wire them. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I can send you my email address if it helps.

    Signals are junk , 4 out of six stopped working after 2 hours ! My Z-Stuff signals have worked for years .

      Did you contact them to get replacements or a refund? I've had 6 on my layout for the past year and haven't had a single issue.

      @@JDStucks I should not have called them Junk , that was uncalled for . However they did fail quickly . Perhaps using the variable track power is not the best idea as I do run some conventional units along with DCS . The layout has 21 blocks to allow this. I did not return the units but substituted Z-Stuff signals . Buy the way great work on your layout !

      @@MrJhuber46 I would not recommend using variable track power for any signal system. I’d use a dedicated transformer with lower
      Voltage and use a common ground. Just my suggestion to prevent any other signal systems from going toast.
