You did a good job piecing together what little story mw3 seasons show, It sucks that Activision fractured the rebooted mw timeline since the merging of the black ops timeline after mw2019 season 6... Shit is all over the place.
I hope Nikolai and Yuri work to form a Russian Loyalist Group backed by Kamarov intended to counter the Konni Group. This could consist of the Russian Operators from MW2019, as well as ex‐Barkov, ex‐Konni and ex‐Zakhaev forces. I miss those guys. I also hope to see Alejandro and Rodolfo back, they need to wrap their stories up along with Valeria. Victor Zakhaev seems to have fled Operation Deadbolt from MWIII zombies which was set in 2021. He should come back and have him working with Makarov. Some backstory about Yuri and Makarov set during the times they were under Barkov's command would be really dope to. Still a lot of loose ends that they need to wrap up with MW4. They'll have to make a large campaign with 15 missions at least. BO6 consisted of 11 not counting the safehouse sections. Unless they reintroduce raids and spec ops then maybe then they can spread out the story so it isn't so bunched up in the campaign. I also forgot Graves could use a redemption arc.
@Zestytrashcan82 yea, if you think about it, they have the same ideals, and a friend pointed it out. They'll probably have an Easter egg in bo6 but that's a long shot
I'd like to add a few things as well: Season One: We got the Warzone: Urzikstan Map intro with Graves, in which he starts sending in Shadow Company Operatives and Mercanaries for hire to conduct operations against the Konni Group. I'm pretty sure this was called Operation: Blazing Torch Season Two: Konni takes over Fortune's Keep for their own work and operations. However an earthquake strikes the island forcing them to rebuild. (Apparently they were doing some experiments on the undead and some ended up getting revived and unleashed across the island). Shadow Company is also back at conflict with 141 as shown in that trailer and they are also present in Fortune's Keep responding to Konni's presence on the island. Season Three: It's not just Makarov but also Perseus clearly having made a return. As we know based on the ending of BOCW's Warzone story, the Perseus organization has lived on. However they're no longer that a spy organization. They DID try to rebuild at certain points as shown after the Destruction of Verdansk from 2021 where they built a communications and listening base on Rebirth which they retook. Idk if you remember but the Rebirth Reinforced update that was added during Vanguard's life cycle showed that Perseus repurposed the island once more for making chemical gas. So essentially Konni just allied and hired them to make a powerhouse of a faction. Shadow also takes notice of Konni's presence and attacks the island as well along with 141. Season Four: We could also say this adds to Soap's overall character. To me he has always been the spearhead of 141, he always seemed ready to get into the fight anytime he was on screen and was pumped full of action. This is why story wise it makes sense for Soap rather than Gaz to go off first, because Soap (to Makarov) is a huge nuisance. Also no doubt would Soap had been the first to find out out Konni's work. He might have not known the name Konni at the time but did pick up on a Russian PMC group in Urzikstan which then in that same year that PMC group attacks Shadow Company. Season Five: We know Valeria did help Makarov in the past with transporting gas across different locations after the Battle of Al‐Mazarah's Zaya Observatory from 2023. Ivan's appearance also makes sense as during that time he was the field commander of Konni (no he is not alive in 2024, i am only making reinforcing the idea that Valeria is working with Makarov). I also think in exchange for helping back in Al‐Mazarah Valeria is offered protection by Makarov as we see in the MWII Day of the Dead trailer, which promoted a new MP map, we see two skulls with Soap's and Alejandro's names written on them. That possibly hinted toward's Soap's death and is maybe even hinting toward's Alejandro's death in MW4 or in Warzone. We also know based on the last spec‐ops mission from MWII, Valeria must be looking for new territory, so maybe Makarov may give it to her at some point. Season Six: Farah is the main face of the season, I interpreted as the following: Farah knowing her country is under siege, by what could be a larger threat than Roman Barkov, this fight feels very personal to her. She starts to step out from the character she once was and is beginning to change. We normally don't see her cross the borders of her country as she doesn't want to invade but since MW2019 she has been providing loads of assistance to 141. So therefore it makes sense for Farah to see this fight against Makarov as her fight to. I genuinely hope MW4 goes hard, bring back Raids, Spec‐Ops and Warzone Cinematics to tie up all the loose ends. I hope they don't screw this up. They have a good building base to work on for the campaign.
Even though mw2 entire campaign and mw2019’s seasonal cutscenes didn’t have the best plot out there (they brought back both Alex and Graves after “killing” them just to make a quick buck of their popularity among the players and no actual reason that helped the story) they really did a lot to set up characters and their story arcs and IW was clearly moving towards potentially wrapping things up with mw3 so they can maybe create spin offs for characters but Activision in their infinite wisdom forced SHG to create mw3 in 16 months (and they believed they were making an expansion for 6 or 7 of those months mind you) so we ended up with this mess where like always SHG gave up on the story midway to promote 7 headed chimera ghost This story was essentially IW’s baby and SHG threw it out the window cause Activision forced them to babysit when they promised before they wouldn’t do this
Great analysis of the story of MW3's seasons! I still think Cold War had the best Seasonal Story, but you did a great job with this! Have you done stories for MW2 and Vanguard's seasons as well? I'd love to see videos on them!
Does the season 1 cutscene take place after when price kills shepherd. Theres no date given when price killed shepherd but its obvious it's not long after the last mission. Also no mention of shepherds death in the post launch story.
It’s never stated when shepherd dies but it would make sense for season 1 to take place around the same time he dies as he would have made efforts to help Farah had he been aware or alive, great question btw!!!
@@IceBurgZyeah its interesting how that was never mentioned in any of the post launch cutscenes as it was quite important. What effect would that have on tf141 and cpt price and consequences of it.
In Rebirth Island, you can see armors that seems to be from Atlas Corporation, they added many references about AW. For COD Ghost, i think it's going to be the idea again of Ghost team in MW4 after Task Force 141 is gone dark and the last support hope would be Graves instead of Laswell cuz i think she could die. And Valeria being the Rorke 2.0. In Og MW story, Ghost & Gaz died and now it's comeback time for those two :)
Ok this was actually really good because I was tryna to the post launch story together and couldn’t 😂 (I genuinely thought since this was the 20th anniversary cod, all the seasons were just for fun 😂)
1948: Rebirth Island under Soviet control. Main site for production of the Nova 6 chemical weapon. 1968: Rebirth Island raided by CIA, Nova 6 confiscated and prisoners taken and tortured. 1984: Rebirth Island under Perseus control. Main site for reproduction of the Nova 6 chemical weapon. 2023: Konni takes control of Rebirth Island, using it as a Base Of Operations and a site to begin production of Sarin Gas. Rebirth Island has an interesting history.
Valeria can just get more of her cartel to do operations somewhere else. She's not dead and she's helped people like makarov in MW2 2022 So it still works.
THANK YOU, I've seen so many people angry about the Story and yeah some have good reasons but it was clear to me they just stopped worrying about post campaign Story since MW2 Season 6 and lots of stuff aren't canon and were mede just for Fun
Loved how you pieced the stories together but, i would've loved it if you added info to season 6 because apparently the new blackcell skin as we know of "Alone" has some interesting easter eggs and details like gaz's hat and farah's bandana overall this vid was pretty cool
Man, what a great video! I think that in season 6, rather than focusing on the story events, it focuses on character development for Ghost. Soap was the only one who could see through Ghost and accept him as a friend. With his death, Ghost went through terrible grieving, but neither Price nor Gaz could comfort him, as those soldiers are obligated to keep a "strong" façade. Farah then comes in, trying to get Ghost to open up and receive help with grieving (hence she is the head of the "Halloween" operation). But why Halloween? The Blackcell operator, Alone, shows Ghost as a monster, and maybe Ghost sees himself as that monster, unable to make bonds with others without harming them. In a way, he wants to accept his obscurity and therefore allies himself with Michael Myers and Art the Clown (XD??). I think it's a shame COD's community works to try to make sense of Activision's shameless cash-grabbing instead of developers themselves giving sense to their own games.
I didn't even thought of that when Season 4 to 5 came around. This is more better explained than how Inkslasher did it. Also to add, isn't Zombies canon to the main timeline of the series?
@@IceBurgZ The new Dark Aether Saga is canon to everything else. CW you could find intel in one of the Onslaught MP maps (which we so happen to fight in later in MP) which references how Requiem had to "cover" it up for the populace to not suspect a thing. Kravchenko is in zombies and we know that treyarch said the flashbacks of BO2 ARE canon. So Kravchenko survived forsaken and then went to die. The outbreaks are usually quickly contained either way. Urzikstan is a big AO to have been an outbreak zone but we were able to clear it up and ofc Deadbolt like requiem covered it up.
7:46 not to mention it’s in his file you can also hear it at the end of MW 2019 that soap is qualified for explosives a lot of people don’t like looking into the finer details
I’m curious. If Blackcell is canon, would they be like a wild card? We’ve seen that they support both sides of the conflict since they have operators in both KorTac and SpecGru. And since aetherium is basically canon in this unified universe I don’t think it would be insane to think that operators like John Doe are actual soldiers being sent to the battlefield. I just think that it would be cool to think there’s this highly technological manufacturer that’s making cash out of global conflicts and experimenting on soldiers.
I been saying this for months. MW3 campaign has put me off any future MW games unless they bring Soap back and stop killing him off. I'm sick of getting the same repeat story. We know how this one ends now. Price is gonna have Yuri help him kill Makarov. I'd have liked to seen TF141 without Price, see how they handle it.
