    When our baby arrived last year, we at first thought we could keep our doggo in our room on her dog bed. But when the baby came, we realized that baby's needs at night time were disrupting our pup's sleep and also making things more complicated for us when our dog would come over to investigate what was happening. So we transitioned our dog to sleeping on her dog bed in the living room and it went amazingly. Sometimes now when our parents watch the baby, I'll try to get our dog to come and sleep in our bedroom, and she's just like, nah pass, I'm comfy here. Our dog and baby are best friends. We still give our dog lots of one on one love when the baby goes to sleep. It's totally a manageable and wonderful thing to have dogs and babies but to give everyone the space and separation they need. So I think you've made a great decision and everyone will be great.

    We had three (now 4 dogs) when our son was born and you do need to keep them out of the bedroom. They use to sleep in our room before our baby arrived. It's the right decision 💗 there is so much happening when baby arrives and sleep becomes sooo PRECIOUS!

    I literally just watched the new Disney lady and the tramp movie last night and this made me think of the part where Lady says “when the baby moves in the dog moves out” so maybe don’t watch that lol. Anyway my dog is my child and sleeps with me every night but he is an only child. Stella and Winnie do have each other and I would just see how it goes after baby comes. I think making the adjustment right now because they are acting like puppies is good and don’t feel guilty they are so loved and you guys give them such a good home. Just see what happens after Winnie gets a little older and baby too and just make adjustments along the way to what is good for everyone. It’s a huge change and things will calm down after awhile I’m sure. Just try not to stress too much because you guys are great dog parents and they know how loved they are❤️

    When in doubt about animals and changes in their routine I always ask our Veterinarian for advise. When my twin sister passed away at a young age, we had to decide if we wanted to bring in another cat to support Daniel, who was my twin sister's cat, and we consulted with a Vet and received excellent advise.

    You are doing the right thing with the dogs. Nothing controversial about setting boundaries with our pets. I am a dog lover. I have two of them, however, they have never been allowed to sleep on our bed. My dogs are big and they shed. They have the run of the whole house, but my bedroom is my sanctuary. And believed me they are happing dogs.......... You will be a new mom, your will need to nest with your baby. Your beautiful dogs will be ok and they will love the new member of the family............ CONGRATS........And you are going to be lovely parents, to your daughter and the fur babies!!!!!!!

  • @capturedbyannamarie

    If you think of them like children you set boundaries for children, so it makes sense to set boundaries for the dogs. It’s good for them to have boundaries especially for the safety of the baby.

    Angel, you do what it’s best for you guys. My mom for example let all her dogs on the bed after testing how they adapted with me as a baby. Mom had poodles of all sizes , dad had a German Sheppard . Make story short I went straight to my bedroom so I never slept with my parents. The funny thing is that the German Sheppard on her own one night decided to go to my room and never left. Meaning I grew up with her. Diana which was her name became my older sister and protector. It’s a funny story but they decided to make the decision once I arrived. You guys do you . I love you both ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

    We have a newer puppy as well....she will be one next month. Night time for us got crazy as well. So my husband now takes the puppy out for a night time little walk just to get any additional energy out and I snuggle with our older pup in a. room where she doesn't know she's missing out on the walk....and like Stella she doesn't need the additional walk at night. That has helped tremendously. Try it for a few nights and see if it helps with her energy or barking at night. I think this was the right decision...those first 6 weeks will be a blur and you will need all of your space and energy for taking care of the baby at night. I hope this helps.

  • @AjniraBloom
    @AjniraBloom 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My 2c is that it's a really good idea to get them out of the bedroom for you to have peace and peace of mind when the baby gets here. For a couple of reasons; you're going to be dead tired from mid-night feedings and every drop of sleep is going to be important once she's here; yes you're kicking them out of the 'sanctuary', but they have each other to be with and they'll set up their own energy field where their beds are that will feel just as good to them; and maybe it's not permanent, just a transition and eventually you might change your minds. I had to stop letting my boy cat come into my bedroom because he was bullying my girl cat. He was crazed at first, but he's used to it now and he accepts it and my girl cat feels safe and we've bonded so much more since I did that. So it's all good.

    I just started the video but the Luna mini is literally a can’t live without and I don’t hear anyone talking about it. I don’t get it. I’ve been using it for a year now and it finally died on me last week cause I never charge it and I was being lazy so I went a week without using it and omg my skin looked like crap😅not that bad but I can really see the difference it makes. My skin looked old and flaky and my pores looked big and after charging it and using it once my skin was back to being smooth and glowy. Love that thing!

    My sister has a beautiful Winnie dog, she grow up sleeping and doing everything with my sister and her husband when the baby arrived she and her husband put the doggy out of the bedroom so no to bother baby but the doggy became so sad and depressed she wont eat and got so sick they were so scared for her life, she just wanted attention and was letting herself go! My sister just brought her back and she was so happy looking at the baby, she adored baby and was even taking care of her at the minimum sound baby made the doggy will react and call my sister to attend the baby asap! So just be careful because some doggies are very extremely sensitive and can separation can be detrimental to their sense of well being and their feelings!!!

  • @M-hf6qc
    @M-hf6qc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’d say for the dog situation, you’re doing the right thing and starting before the baby comes for them to be sleeping outside of the bedroom. I’d say what you’re feeling, it out of your normal, and will be an adjustment, and in the end if they are barking a bit if they see an animal, it’s a good sign that they’re on watch. It’s also good to see how things go when they baby comes, since I think it’s good to see how they will adjust and it may be better to decide whether it’s okay to just have them sleep on the floor next the baby, but again, depends on how they adjust after the new born has arrived and as you’re all adjusting to your new normal when that happens.

    I don't think you're doing anything wrong, the dogs still have free roam, comfy warm beds, and you're only a room away. I think I would have the same fears with a newborn, that and possible barking and waking the baby you just got to sleep.
