This is crazy! I just saw ep 1 last night and I was thinking “man this was a good vid it sucks they aren’t doing it anymore” and I get home from work and this is the first vid I see!!!! Crazy!!!! Love this series
That was essentially my main PC for a couple years....Upgraded it to a 5700X3D, 32GB DDR4 3600, Radeon 7900GRE...and before it was a 3600+5700, it was a 2600x+RX-580-8GB, and before that a Ryzen 3 1300x + Geforce GTX970 3.5GB...hell of a platform, and this PC you got going is a great build, keep it up!
A trick I heard for Marketplace - take only ONE picture of the PC (hero shot) and then record a video of the PC powered on (360°) so that the hero shot will always be the #1 picture.
I think you payed too much for the build in the first place. Here in Canada, I got a deal for a computer on Facebook Marketplace with a Ryzen 7 3800X, 5700XT, 32GB G.Skill, 1TB SSD and NZXT Z63 280mm (With LCD Display) for $500 ($360 USD). I cleaned it up and took out the AIO to put in my personal build and added a $20 ThermalRight cooler and sold it for $780 CAD.
Really enjoyed this video. I'd love to see more of these. ALSO... I'd love to see a Scrapyard Wars style of video with Jackson leading one team and Matt leading another. That would be great fun.
In my area, it's all over the place. I have a low spec system that's super cheap that's been up there for months. I listed an OEM system with a 3060 for $650 and it didn't make it a week and sold it for $620. Now I have a similar system with an even better 3060 model for sale, and people aren't even biting. Selling PC's seems to be pretty rough right now regardless. I'll have to go check and see if FB is screwing up my pics now on my phone.
I had my ryzen 5 3600 for so long it saw the 5700 none xt then saw a 6700 xt now a 7900 xtx finally retiring it for a ryzrn 9 7900 x3d build ... u served me well my minion
No need for a 240mm on a 65W Ryzen unless you OC. I'd have used the default cooler and just repasted the CPU and the GPU. Which you didn't do (repaste the GPU).
Next time with those Mesh fan covers use T7000 adhesive tape, it's flexible and stronger than the stuff used on the magnets. It's what is used in some phone and tablet screen repairs to fix it back to the housing.
snagged a pc with a 10th gen i7, 16gb ram, 1.25tb storage, 700w PSU, nice IBuyPower glass case and an old RX 580 for $340! Putting a 3060 12gb in it (which i got on ebay for only $200 brand new!), cleaning it up, swapping the old stock cooler and hoping to sell for over $200 profit!
This gives me an idea of how much I could potentially sell my PC for. I paid $300 for it but had to add a power supply and storage. It has 3.2 TB of total storage now. If I upgrade my current GPU which is a GTX 1060 6GB then that should help increase its value.
My honest theory for why theyd put that 5700xt on the bottom slot. When they first came out those cards were SOOO bad with crashing and driver issues, i wouldnt be supprised if due to the bottom slot being less power if maybe it helped the card by limiting it to some extent. Man its been years since i bought my one and only amd card, the 5700xt and i returned it before my amazon return window ran out because i couldn't play anything on it. Nvidia forever for anything im keeping over here
I had a broken M.2 drive due to high temperatures for being behind the GPU. That's probably the reason why they put the graphics card in the bottom slot. But the correct way, in case you have more than one M.2 slot, is to swap the location of it, not the GPU itself.
Yea Amd doesn't sell unfortunately, most people are team green, especially casuals. And yes, the pc flipping market is slow rn everywhere especially on fb marketplace.
gather all the parts from marketplace and other selling sites when you can afford it, and assemble it yourself once you have it all. I have built two pcs that way
Having been a gamer since 1982 I've seen so many CPUs and GPUs come and go. I've seen the hype from both Nvidia and AMD for decades and I've used both of their products over the years. Nvidia has always been the GPU for gamers, but in the last two generations of GPUs, AMD has come out fighting with some great GPUs that honestly make Nvidia look like a bad choice for today's gamer. I love both companies for what they bring to the table and for push they give each other to innovate, but if Nvidia doesn't start listening more to its customers about having a lot more onboard ram on it mid level cards and safer connectors for their cards, they're going to lose the battle to AMD in this new generation of cards coming out.
No Hate Matt but do you drive or do you not drive because in any video where you drive to a place it’s always Jackson driving but like I said no hate and good work on the videos you guys have been making❤❤
I can only think why it took so long to sell that PC was because it was probably not a Nvidia GPU... In my experience flipping my AMD GPU flips take longer to sell than my Nvidia GPU flips. Might just be where I live. Most my customers have been parents too and they only know nvidia that may be it as well. Just to be clear Im not hating on AMD as i personally am using a 7900xtx. It's just the brand recognition of Nvidia is that much greater and comes with prestige much like an Iphone is to an Android . This means people who are not into PC gaming or are casuals PC Gaming will usually recognize nvidia and trust nvidia more.
I wouldn't have paid more than $350 for this from FBMP. You can source all the parts "used" for less than $350. Then if you want to flip it for $500 you can do that. And I wouldn't be giving a one year warranty, 90 days, it's used parts. If you are buying brand new parts from the manufacturer, and building a rig, then you can issue the one year warranty because you have it from the manufacturer.
I’m sorry but is it just me that is bothered by the fact there’s no gpu stand in this pc? It looks like there’s a little sag and that could worsen overtime.
Wait, couldnt you have just removed the pic's that just unflattering for the sell so facebook is forced to put something nice as the main pic? And you can just say that you can send more pics in DM'S if needed? 🤔
We tried this idea out when relisting this PC once or twice but it didn't really help😓I think with it sitting on marketplace for so long it didn't really help
I've never built a system for myself with Intel or Nvidia hardware (My first build back in 1997 or '98 did have a Cyrix CPU and an ATI GPU). I know AMD products better, so I've always built with them unless someone requests something else. I've never had a computer returned because of an AMD CPU or GPU.
Easy as pie in my area. I recently just upgraded my moms personal rig for $10. Lol. i5 6400, 8GB ram Ideacentre 700. Added cooling, another 8GB stick, swapped over her drives and added an RX 550 4GB. For around $70 total, it's a killer system for the price.
Boys, I love the content but for some reason your video has my GPU at almost 100% at 1080p60, yet I can watch other peoples videos at 4k60 and it only be at 30%, for whatever reason this is I'm not sure its healthy for my GPU, that your 22 minute video at 1080p60, had my GPU running 5 degrees hotter than 3 hours of Warzone.
Ok so for me what i call a good gaming PC is to play games/triple A games at 1080p High/Ultra ( mainly High ) settings at a stable 100 fps or more, yes i am very picky but in the end its my money and i need to spend is wisely.

You should be looking to buy an actual deal then flip it for what its worth. You should be waiting a little longer to make these videos and look for the tresures that are rarely posted that are dirt cheap, not just any reasonably priced pc. A 240mm AIO is way overkill for a Ryzen 5 3600. I'm running a Ryzen 9 5900X with a 120mm AIO with an Phanteks T30x120 fan and it runs fine.
I re-paste every graphics card I get....ALWAYS makes a difference for me. Also a $10 gpu anti sag bracket would help
