I have the Twist tote and that was my first bag. At first I thought I made a mistake, because I didn’t wear it at all. After a few months, I rediscovered the bag and I found it not as heavy as my Epi leather Neverfull and very practical for the day to day. I do regret a bit getting the neverfull on Epi leather.

This is very much a personal taste topic, but appreciate hearing individual points of views. The minute I laid my eyes on the pochette metis I fell In love with it because it is so me. I would highly recommend it. I protect my vachetta with a spray. What I would really love to know is why did LV get rid of the Clapton line? So far every purse I’ve seen (as a new comer to lux bags) I love! I wish they would bring it back!
I’m so glad that was your experience! It looked so great on everybody else but I just wasn’t rocking it. I have no idea about the Clapton… back then I didn’t even know it had a name or was seasonal - I just liked the look and functionality of it.
Love your videos. I have the speedy25 and 30 neverful mm. Those are my favorites in lv. I bought them new. I will only buy preloved the prices are 2 high. I love dooney. My favorite is the satchels all weather leather and the florentine. The quality with dooney is so much better than lv and so many high end purses.

I'm a forever Speedy Bandouliere in canvas girl🥰! Canvas is more malleable than epi. I have only one speedy classic in 25 but tha strap is a game changer for bigger speedys. Funny that its not my fave at first till I started using it, I only use a very light base shaper so the canvas can mold to my body in ratio to what I carry. When we travel Europe by train it proved super functional. Its good to know what really works for your lifestyle.
Definitely agree with you on this list. Basically all the LV bags everyone else recommends, I don’t 😅 The Neverfull, Twist, Capucines, etc are just a few!
I agree with you on quite a few of these, but on the other hand, I love my speedy 30s! 😂 And my pochette metis in the reverse monogram - no worries about vachetta. But agree on most of the others. I think the vanity case bag bugs me most of all mainly because I know it would be a huge pain to struggle with those zippers every time you needed to open and close it. I am 100% with you on the Pochette accessories! I bought mine a decade ago for a very low price because they weren’t popular, never used it because…..it was a pouch, not a bag, and I hated the strap drop, and it looked funny on me, and ugh, all the things. I have never wanted the Keepall for the very reasons you stated. It has to be cumbersome for traveling and I can't handle that. The Vachetta would definitely be a problem for me as well. I am so glad I never bought one although I have looked at them and I would love to flex through the airport looking stylish but in real life, I just carry back packs and cheap easy to handle bags that I don't have to worry about. I love my keepalll 50 but it primarily sits on a shelf in my dressing room and looks nice 😊 I use a longchamp le pliage for travel. I wouldn’t ever buy rolling luggage unless I had a private plane✈️ Just wondering if you still use yr Gucci super mini? I’m very late to the party but I think I’d like one🤔
These videos are so helpful! Even if someone feels differently about a bag, it's great to consider the different points when spending this amount of money. Could you send the white speedy off to be painted with some decoration and feel good about it being for display? Totally agree with you about the in-between sized totes. It's so frustrating how many bags are like half an inch too small to fit a laptop. I'm always like, why? Just give me the other half inch! But I suspect the issue is that designers want to discourage using the bags for a laptop because the additional weight will cause the bag to wear more, and they don't want to upgrade the design to be able to hold up with the additional weight.
You are always so thoughtful Lisa! You're probably onto something there. The other issue with both of the styles I mentioned is the centre divider... one needs to pack a tote with reckless abandon!

I love my pochette accessories, in fact it is probably my prized item even though it’s one of my cheapest bags. I consider it a bag cause it fits all that I need and is quite generous in size compared to many of the small bags floating around. I add a monogram strap to wear it casually and a gold chain (I have a few different sizes) if I wanna glam it up a little. For me it is a very versatile piece and I will always love monogram no matter what else I own.
The pochette Métis is a travel bag for me. I’ve completed ruined the vachetta on it because it was one of my very first LV bags and I didn’t know how to take care of it 😅 but I still love it
I have an LV Neverfull GM. It’s a very practical bag for carrying my papers, etc. back and forth to school. I keep an organizer in the bag, and it sets on a fluffy towel or soft chair. I don’t place it on the floor. The corner wear has been terrible. The coating on the canvas is too thin, and the canvas is too thin. It would be a fantastic bag if it were more durable.
Oh Dayle! I am a LV girl so this video was rough for me! 😂 I have 4 speedys all in the bandouliere style size 30 & 35. As a commuter they work so well for me as work bags! I also love my pochette metis still in reverse monogram even though I haven’t carried it lately 🤷🏽♀️. Even though LV has angered me with the scarcity of canvas and astronomical price increases I still love them! 🤷🏽♀️

My suggestion for your white speedy is to find a local artist you like and ask them to paint a mural or pattern on it you love and make it art in your house. It would make a great piece of art!
Hey Dayle loved the video have you seen the new LV Facorite in the Empriente leather, if so wondering about your opinion.I have the LV Onthego GM it makes a great work bag but isn’t a good travel bag at all you’re right it’s far to large and Cumbersome for that purpose.

I couldn’t imagine the Onthego to be discontinued 😱 I had the feeling they want it to become the new neverfull. I would add the Petite Malle to the list, too small and too expensive for what it is.
I bought the epi speedy 25 thinking it was a great leather however I realized and learnt from a consignment store that epi leather has poor resale value. 😭 It's the monogram canvas that's command a relatively higher resell value. Hence I lost 50% when I sell that bag & also it's not wise to try to hook bag strap on the handles to convert it to a cross body. Ended up stretch the leather on the D rings. Can hand held only or get the B version 😅
I feel your pain but the bag is designed for one certain use. To try and make be a cross body is not recommended. That’s why LV introduced the bandolier. Everyone wants the bag to be cross body style now I’m personally not a fan. Most bags are too puffy to be Crossbody. You need a very flat bag . they design bag specifically for Crossbody like the Hermès Evelyn. It pains me to see a Chanel classic tortured into a cross body just for the look. The Chanel classic bag was supposed to be a shoulder bag end of story

I have the On the Go and the handles do fold down and it does fit in the overhead locker. I have travelled internationally with it a few. Just for a different perspective!
I love the Pochette Métis but I bought mine in red leather. I also think the on the go in reverse monogram is such a classy bag. I like it so much more than the speedy. I received multiple compliments when I use my on the go mm. No one ever said they loved my speedy that much😂

On the go its like an expensive, really expensive bag that look like a shoppinh bag. And it looks like easy to let prople pick-pocket if u take this bag to greece. Cant close the top. I think women can get small LV handbag for formal dinner function, and a large neverfull for traveling, to put a scarf, sweater or a hat. Has to be luxurious yet functional & suit your needs

I love the speedy but wasn’t impressed with the hardware! My luxembourg sneakers already have cracks in the canvas and I’ve heard LV won’t repair the canvas so I’m done with lv monogram canvas in the future! I’m hoping my keyholder a d Kevin’s wallet will hold up ok! The canvas is not what it used to be! My vintage suitcase is still holding up great❤️

For your Speedy: I have seen some bags where an artistic painted a pattern on the bag and it totally transforms the bag.....maybe you can try that and start using it
I don’t recommend the speedyb. Mine from 2016 has small cracks in the canvas along both sides of the zipper. Plus the hardware mismatch situation. I think I would love the pochette metis because I have a Coach Cassie and love the style, but the PM is known for issues and I don’t think I want to give LV more of my money as I no longer trust the canvas quality. Maybe the leather one if they ever add new colors.
That’s a great insight, clever to trial a bag style before going straight into an LV model. I’d be inclined to check out a leather option in the right colour too 🙊
Cosmetic/Toiletry cases being used as bags has always made me cringe, I know it's popular but please stop! Please! I don't have much LV experience outside of what you already covered, but I can say that I had my Favorite for about one week before returning it because I disliked how weak the magnet was on it and how easily the flap flapped open! 💕
Yes absolutely! It doesn’t say what you want it to say. My favourite has the strongest magnet in the world …. Well that’s probably an exaggeration but I does not flip open!

My suggestion for your white speedy is to find a local artist you like and ask them to paint a mural or pattern on it you love and make it art in your house. It would make a great piece of art!

Hey Dayle loved the video have you seen the new LV Facorite in the Empriente leather, if so wondering about your opinion.I have the LV Onthego GM it makes a great work bag but isn’t a good travel bag at all you’re right it’s far to large and Cumbersome for that purpose.

I couldn’t imagine the Onthego to be discontinued 😱 I had the feeling they want it to become the new neverfull.

I bought the epi speedy 25 thinking it was a great leather however I realized and learnt from a consignment store that epi leather has poor resale value. 😭 It's the monogram canvas that's command a relatively higher resell value. Hence I lost 50% when I sell that bag & also it's not wise to try to hook bag strap on the handles to convert it to a cross body. Ended up stretch the leather on the D rings. Can hand held only or get the B version 😅

The Epi is so beautiful but you’re right it’s not in high demand if you change your mind or it doesn’t work out.
I feel your pain but the bag is designed for one certain use. To try and make be a cross body is not recommended. That’s why LV introduced the bandolier. Everyone wants the bag to be cross body style now I’m personally not a fan. Most bags are too puffy to be Crossbody. You need a very flat bag . they design bag specifically for Crossbody like the Hermès Evelyn. It pains me to see a Chanel classic tortured into a cross body just for the look. The Chanel classic bag was supposed to be a shoulder bag end of story

Same with the speedy you can make it cross body if you want. My point is Will you be happy with a bag that you can convert to Crossbody ???or will you be happy with the bag that is designed to be crossbody?

I love the Pochette Métis but I bought mine in red leather. I also think the on the go in reverse monogram is such a classy bag. I like it so much more than the speedy. I received multiple compliments when I use my on the go mm. No one ever said they loved my speedy that much😂

I love my speedy 35 bandolier ( my travel bag for on too of my case) but without the strap. NO NO NO. METIS sorry didn’t keep it. Sold after one shopping trip. That close thing arghhh. Then i heard re peeling and thought whew !!! Favourite was a no no for me due to the strap catching and non removal i went Eva but in damier. Xx
The 35 is perfect for travel in canvas - way more comfortable thank the Keepall with that nasty bumpy strap!
On the go its like an expensive, really expensive bag that look like a shoppinh bag. And it looks like easy to let prople pick-pocket if u take this bag to greece. Cant close the top. I think women can get small LV handbag for formal dinner function, and a large neverfull for traveling, to put a scarf, sweater or a hat. Has to be luxurious yet functional & suit your needs

I love the speedy but wasn’t impressed with the hardware! My luxembourg sneakers already have cracks in the canvas and I’ve heard LV won’t repair the canvas so I’m done with lv monogram canvas in the future! I’m hoping my keyholder a d Kevin’s wallet will hold up ok! The canvas is not what it used to be! My vintage suitcase is still holding up great❤️

For your Speedy: I have seen some bags where an artistic painted a pattern on the bag and it totally transforms the bag.....maybe you can try that and start using it

I don’t recommend the speedyb. Mine from 2016 has small cracks in the canvas along both sides of the zipper. Plus the hardware mismatch situation. I think I would love the pochette metis because I have a Coach Cassie and love the style, but the PM is known for issues and I don’t think I want to give LV more of my money as I no longer trust the canvas quality. Maybe the leather one if they ever add new colors.
That’s a great insight, clever to trial a bag style before going straight into an LV model. I’d be inclined to check out a leather option in the right colour too 🙊

Cosmetic/Toiletry cases being used as bags has always made me cringe, I know it's popular but please stop! Please! I don't have much LV experience outside of what you already covered, but I can say that I had my Favorite for about one week before returning it because I disliked how weak the magnet was on it and how easily the flap flapped open! 💕
