Still, I love seeing the re-enactment of them creating The Three Little Pigs. I really wish this whole episode was available somewhere because Vault Disney used to play it all the time on The Disney Channel.
Disney was forward thinking in filming some of its earliest episodes in color, so they could be repeated later on when color was the norm. Interesting to see Peggy Lee here. She famously sued Disney when the company released a home video version of Lady and the Tramp, since her original contract had language stating Disney could not make copies of her performance. Lee won a $2.3 million judgement against the company.
6:28-6:36 I love how inaccurate those recreated storyboards are when compared to the original Three Little Pigs short from 1933. In the latter, there was no medium close-up shot of Fifer Pig, nor of any of the pigs in that regard. The Big Bad Wolf wasn't fully clothed when next to the brick house: he actually lacked his hat and gloves at that scene (and then lose his pants). And Fiddler Pig didn't even build the straw house.
If I remember correctly, I’m Wishing, Whistle While You Work, Heigh-Ho, and Someday My Prince Will Come. With a Smile and a Song might have been in there too.
