www.randyhunter... and www.beginningsa... present Randy Hunter's review of the Kanee New York model alto sax and the Florida model tenor sax mouthpieces.
Lovely tone on all those pieces. I'm not sure why they are being described as 'step-up' mouthpieces though; if an early Link Tone edge is a 'pro' mouthpiece then surely, so are these.
Just bought 2.. florida large chamber and a New York alto . Dont agree that they are a step up because of price point . They are professional if a pro is going to play them .. ha ha . I am happy to play them and looking at buying the med chamber florida for pop stuff. I bought both 8s and like Randy says I find them far better . I normally play about 108 tip opening. These are 110.. no problem with the size up for me .
Hi randy, i play a ponzol 110 or a « berg larsen inspired » from east germany opening 280, should i buy a 7 or 8 kanee florida to your experience? You have a great tone by the way 😊👍

Nice, nice sound in each case
The Florida 7 sounds very nice. What kind of chamber are you using in the video?

Hi Jacques- Sorry to be slow with the reply! A 7 would probably be the best choice for you- maybe a 7*. Good luck!

@@jacquesd30 Good choice!
Was that a Martin Committee alto? I had a tenor I wish I had kept
James- It's an old The Martin version from 1948. Great horn. I still have it, but I'm currently playing a Mark VI alto I lucked into.
