    What i cherish most in this testemonial is how Asaf humbling aknowledges that he was responsible for the traumatic experience. Most humans would blame the animal, in this case, the dog. But Asaf could see how he had failed both the cat and the dog by humanizing them. I feel sorry for the dog who lost a lovely home and family. And i am warmed by the fact that all are well. And the lessons learnt. Blessings to all

    I had a friend who was a biologist in Colorado. His friend ran a rescue for wolf-dog hybrids that had been surrendered due to aggression. People get them as pets and then cannot handle them; much like chimpanzees. He told me the wolf hybrids are much more aggressive than pure blood, or close to it, wolves. Asaf’s heart, like always, was in the right place. I’m just really glad he made it out of this, at least physically. Btw, he has a beautiful house, as his soul!

    Yes, this is life's lesion about difference and we cannot manage or change everything even by love. The lesson about the exception of the different forms of life without change by our wishes.

    Hi Asaf, thank you for sharing this with us. You are a wonderful sensitive and thoughtful person, I feel close to what you went through, I had a similar experience with my dog, but less traumatic somehow, although it did not end well. You are so human this is why we love you. besides being such a great artist! :-)

    WoW what a sad story Asaf .
    For the wolfsdog , as well for you !
    Yes we think it is great for us to have mysticals animals of nature like Wolfs around us.
    I was obsessed as well by Wolfs. But then I found out that many Wolfs have to be in capture there whole life for our “hype” to have wolfdogs. We like to shape them in our life . But they stil have wildness inside. they can`t give up there nature. Not even for us with great love fot them .
    To love wild animals means to let them go.
    Thank you for your honest story. Greatings from Holland .

    Wow I can't imagine how terrifying that would be. I've had many wild and exotic animals and have been bit many times. But have never been attacked like you have. I'm sorry that happened to you

  • @Apebrains

    In the first half of this video, I was pretty ready to write you off as a fool, but the second half convinced me that you had the necessary humility, just made a mistake. I'm glad to see you process this experience sensibly, as a heuristic, rather than as a basis for hate or phobia. Wolves aren't pets. Between my sister and I we brought a 75%er through his entirely life and one day finally laid him to rest, but at no point was he ever a dog. To equate the two is done at one's own risk, as you sadly discovered. I am glad to see that you're healed and wiser for it, though I'm loathe to meditate long on what happened to the wolf. To other readers, the absolute vast majority of humans are in no position to take these animals into their homes - they don't act like dogs, they're not guardians like dogs, and they don't respond to training in the same way as dogs. Don't play with what you don't understand, if only for the sake of the animal that will most likely lose its life for your hubris. Again, thanks for your humility and vulnerability, Asaf, and may you and the cat be well.

    Wolves can be on a hairpin trigger. Mixed with dog, it might make it worse. Coyote mixed with dog makes them much more aggressive.
    I wanted to hear the rest of the story and how you managed to get away. Maybe the story gets too graphic at that point. Here in the states, if a dog bites you, they have to quarantine it until they make sure you don't have rabies. Depending on the severity of the bite, they could be put to sleep.
    I'm the same, I've only had animals in my life that have found me, or they were in a bad way and I took them in. One of them was a 100lbs white German shepherd. I took him after getting calls begging me to go get him because the owner went to jail. I heard horror stories of what they did to this dog. I knew right away that there was something wrong with him. His anxiety was through the roof. It took a long time for him to settle in. He was amazing with immediate family, but wanted to kill everyone else. Most people thought he was a wolf because he looked like one. He opened a locked door while I was gone one day and bit a kid. He kept going after people so we learned he had to have a muzzle on at all times if we stepped out of the house with him. His behavior got us kicked out of Wisconsin.
    I was never afraid of dogs until him. I saw what he could do, and how fast he could do it. I'm glad you turned out ok, and I feel for you because you only had good intentions for him. People who are kind to animals are inherently good in my opinion. I'm so glad your cute cat wasn't harmed. I have 3 strays I adopted myself. I'm crazy about cats! I wish things had turned out better for you and your wolfdog 😢

    If you think about it, who gave us the right to tame wild animals like wolves for our own amusement?

    • @monikaszymanowska5142
      @monikaszymanowska5142 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They were tamed to cooperate with us in life - to work with us, live side by side, hunt, watch and protect. The idea wasn't bad. It's just like all things in the world: sometimes they slip out of our hands and we can't control them. Which doesn't mean we should not try again.

    being stupid enough to have a wolf dog as a pet inside a villa with a cat ... man i like you as an artist but that was a very spoiled rich uneducated thing to do... that kind of animal requires tremendous commitment , management (specialy formed soace etc) and still it will never become the lab you want him to be

    • @kristiannapotsari2343
      @kristiannapotsari2343 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      well seeing the video till the end, it seems you realised that it was your fault for forgetting his true nature... most people would just blame the dog as faulty and not themselves as naive. for this you have my respect...
