My dad had one we would all use it over the years it's in really good condition the bsa logo is bigger on the stock

i have something similar from my father, made in the 50s in Czechoslovakia
Be nice instead of reblue as before blueing guns were browned ( controlled rust), just done with 000 wire wool and wax. Ever tried steaming dents out ?

I would say you can probably stamp out a piece of tin and put a hole in it and slot it in the back using it like a peep sight.
that might be a solution, if I can't find the correct piece.

Hi there! I just got gifted my Dad's Cadet Major last week. Our's has a serial number starting in "Y". So 1949 model. I have similar issues as yours though, corrosion, wood in poor shape missing rear sight 🙈
