They are increasing shopify payment fees all over. Charge currency conversions of 2% for nothing. They are more worse than PayPal keeping not 10% but 15 tot 25% of the revenue for 3 months. There are 100s of Shopify clones who are knocking on the door. I think Shopify will have nasty tailwinds ahead

TT shop is eating Shopify’s lunch. This transition to social media platform based shopping is only going to continue and take shopifys market share. Facebook hasn’t been nearly as aggressive with their shopping program. Once/if they do, that’s going to be an issue.

Ecommerce around the world is just going to keep growing, and a lot of the world isn't going to want to operate with Amazon and Alibaba, so I can see this being plausible. Great margins, great talent. My main issue is that I just don't know how to value it because of the uncertainty. I appreciate the spreadsheet though, it's helpful for thinking about the different variables. Might go for a small position.

Shopify raised its prices in 2023. It's probably good to wait a few more quarters and see if the company has any pricing power.
