I had the same problem and finally fixed it today. I was going to order a new sensor but looked at mine and noticed where the screw goes in it was really rusted. So I sanded it down and it is working now. Mine is e99 and brake light is at the lower left, I see yours is on the lower right. Great video, Thanks
👍🏻👍🏻 Fixed mine based on this, and jiggling the connector around a bunch after sanding everything down didn't work. Jiggling the connector got it to function. E-Brake is strong enough it knocked it loose/out of connection again right away.
Best explanation I've seen. I'm surprised you only had 136 likes. I didn't even know that switch was a ground. Now I understand the sys., I might even be able to make my own switch or fix the one that's already there.
Definitely sounds like a loose connection but if I still remember right , the brake light sometimes shared with brake fluid level , check that in case it is doing it while you are driving
Sometimes it just comes on when your brake pads gets thin and the fluid gets drained into the calipers as the cylinders expand , there are multiple reasons just gotta check them step by step
@@WheelersHoarder update lol me and my father accidentally clamped the washer onto some wires on the harness on driver's side and blew a fuse just changed the fuse and taped up the striped wire

My brake light flickers off-and-on maybe the switches loose and it keeps hitting back-and-forth ground itself in and out thanks for the video
