Just doing it your way. Old school. Being kind, curious and appreciative. I like that. I also appreciate the focus on Soviet Style and robust constructions. Thanks for taking us along. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2025.
Just love how quickly this channel has doubled up from less than 900 to 2.2K subscribers as at this date, 23.12.2024. I'm glad to be among the very first subscribers. I foresee this channel overtaking Itchy Boots' Norally channel and Kino Yves. Who despised the day if humble beginnings? Much love 💖 from Kenya 🇰🇪👏👏👏👏
8:15 You are one of the very few motorcycle travel speakers who are educated and intelligent. Your analysis of the morphology of the city is excellent... and very rare to hear.
Happy Christmas. 🎉 Who needs 2 shocks when one will do 😊 Hope you get it sorted out. Another lovely episode. Can't wait for the next one. Keep em coming.
I share the nostalgic fascination of the Soviet era. I visited USSR in 1989. Nikel and Murmansk. Took the train by night in winter to Murmansk. The smoke line from rhe Nikel works was visible all night. The birch forest was dead of the downfall from pollution. The smell of burned coal in the train. I remember it all. It was as a different world. I was 16 years old. I loved it! The people were curious and ultra friendly. Except from in the stores. No customer service. They were probably embarrassed since they did not understand English. Later Norway paid for upgrades in the Nikel factory to reduce pollution. This was since 10% of the fallout came to Norway. I guess capitalism is good for something😘
Not that uncommon - the broken shock. You are fortunate in a small way. I have seen it happen to monoshock suspension and that makes the bike really hard to ride. Back end completely collapses. I have ridden in the Kyrgystan mountains. I hope you go there. Happy Holidays and Happy Trails. 🙂
Best wishes from Vladivostok, Russia! As a language learner, i like your english for simplicity and clarity. Sorry for my curiosity, but what is your bike's model?
Towering nature and towering soviet blocks and chimneys a kind of assimilation don't you think. Spotted your journey and came along for the ride, many thanks.
"Sovietness..." what a word, it describes perfectly what you experience there. Thank you for your inspiring videos! BTW .. have you lost your license plate or isn't it needed in that country?
I was in Kyrgyzstan in may 2022 on the w650 on my way from Altai to Georgia, unfortunately I only traveled about 700 km and saw almost nothing. By the way, what kind of tire do you have on your rear wheel? Can you recommend it?
yea no offense, but you should have used a Honda... just saying, they always keep going. your old bike is having a rough go at it. that being said, it's a gorgeous bike! certainly has the "Indiana Jones" look.
Please keep your video style as it is. No music nothing. Pure vibe
